I worked with Carvana for a year and within that year I had to jump threw hoops in order to get promoted after a year, when folks who had been there less time, people I trained and people who I had to fix their mistakes got promoted before me. The managers all have issues with favoritism. They also don’t really take the teams feedback into consideration. They say they do and then implement the opposite of what we suggested just making things more difficult and more extra than necessary. Other than the benefits, the pay and the great schedule there’s really no point of working at Carvana if you’re ambitious and really want to move up.

The company fails to mention that if you fail one of their tests more than once, you get fired on the spot. Once you fail your second time (even if it's 89.9%) out of 90% required, they don't give you an option or assistance to help you pass your tests, they simply FIRE YOU on the spot. I think it's such a ridiculous and unintelligent system because they waste new employees' time and they also waste resources by shipping the equipment and then firing employees without providing coaching or listening to them in any way. Team leaders simply worry about their quota. I would NOT recommend this place!

Carvana sets out to be an open environment with opportunity for moving up and having a clear understanding of how well you are doing, what you need to be promoted, and a direct line of communication between you and your TL. The open environment is definitely their success story. I see a lot of openness and a very non-judgemental environment. The other two fall very short. Management can be an outside hire who has to learn everything themselves. I have had 3 different TL in the span of 4 months. In those 4 months we have NEVER went over a call. I was told in my single real meeting I had with my TL that I was doing well in everything. (That was the most specific they were... no idea what I was doing "right"). I enjoy this job, but feel so in the dark about everything that it leaves me very weary.

I wouldn’t work here, they don’t respect time, they require a lot of work for a twelve hour shift, you don’t get a break if you don’t manager yourself time wisely

Best Job I have had so far. Fun work environment that will also challenge you. Also, there is a lot of opportunity to grow and get promoted but getting promoted can also be very challenging.
