Residential Caregiver (Current Employee) – Pomona, CA – February 4, 2018
I work in their group homes, caring for 6 residents with developmental disabilities and I love my job. It’s very rewarding, but the pay is not great! They could and should pay more for the work that we do for the residents.
Nursing (Former Employee) – Nursing – August 27, 2018
The way employees are treated in 2018 is totally unacceptable. Favorite tism is obvious. The lack of managerial skills is obvious. An absolutely beautiful campus, the no real substance on it. While this campus is able to pass state survey is beyond me. I don't recall ever working at a facility so underdeveloped.
Security Guard (Former Employee) – Pomona, CA – May 17, 2018
I don't recommend to others who are in a security business, this is not a good place for security. Casacolina work ethics for security personnel is different than other places due to they will let you to do other people job like outside trash change, wash down their whole yard patios in daily basis, toilet plunge when maintenance people are not there, curtains hanging when male housekeeping are not there and shuttling people everyday with tram etc. It's not worth it due to their poor hourly pay. And also the current security supervisor... Omg you can't deal with him, lot of security personnel quit because of him, trust me !! Good luck if you are hired unless if you don't mind to do those things.
Residential Technician (Former Employee) – Pomona, CA – May 15, 2018
The training you get at Casa Colina Centers of Rehabilitation is very good and skills are transferable. You get a chance to experience mericals daily. It's amazing what the body is capable of doing when you have good staff and a positive encouraging environment to rehabilitate.
Nurse (Former Employee) – Pomona, CA – May 7, 2018
If I could give this place a zero I would! There are directors, but with very little experience in directing staff. The staff is constantly belittled, un-valued and unappreciated. Favoritism is very apparent here. They write up HR policies but deviate from it often if the policy doesn’t serve them. Poor administrators and directors. They function very childishly and retaliate against their employees if their employees should dare speak an ounce of truth.
If you are a new grad and looking for real experience, don’t waste your time here because you will not get it. If you are an experienced healthcare worker, don’t ruin your resume by taking a position here. Still not sure how this place passed licensing and accreditation. This is a resort-looking facility but never judge a book by its cover, because it has nothing to offer. This place is a joke and not a real hospital!
Very busy place, your work day is what you make it.
Admissions Coordinator (Current Employee) – Outpatient – April 7, 2018
If you don’t love customer service, fast pace and the health care industry don’t work here. It’s that simple. People complain about management and the work load but don’t understand that it’s all changing for the better and don’t like change. We see about 1700 patients a week in just our dept and yes it can be stressful but if you don’t love what you do of course you’re going to be miserable and unhappy there. The teamwork sucks but that has nothing to do with management only each person individually who don’t like to communicate So that everyone can be on the same page. The organization is a little crazy but that’s because outpatient is currently undergoing construction and some employees can’t handle it. I love what I do and the patients I work with, the patients are great! Yes some patients can be frustrating but at the end of the day you have to realize the position they are in and be understanding. It’s a Great company, the mission is great, the CEO is awesome and very generous and the new management in Outpatient is doing their best to make everything run smoothing it just takes time. At the end of the day you can’t make everyone happy. Again if you don’t like customer service, fast pace and a busy environment this isn’t for you.
Admissions Coordinator (Former Employee) – Pomona, CA – March 28, 2018
You're overworked and underpaid. Lacks organization, very poor management personnel. What's the point of accruing PTO if you're not even allowed to use it. Drama, drama, drama. If you look forward to being stuck in a dead end job, this is the place for you.
Residential Aide (Former Employee) – Lucerne Valley, CA – January 30, 2018
There is no benefit working here at all. They over work you and management does not care for their employees at all. Don't waste your time here there is no advancing at all. The job does not pay nearly to what you have to do on the job. They also don't pay over time they will rather let you come in late the following day than pay you what you worked for.
Outpatient Admissions Coordinator (Current Employee) – Pomona, CA – July 16, 2017
It's a fast paced environment, it's go go go. Which I like since it makes the day go by faster. The management is lacking and most people feel like she can't be trusted. No meetings are ever held so when something changes or we do something new it just kind of feels like its a mess with no one being on the same page.
medical benefit is great, celebrations are done during holidays, during rehab week we get a lot of free treats
