Good Company
Administrator (Former Employee) - Galveston, TX - November 27, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt's a good outfit. It is owned by four therapists in Utah. They are in daily contact with their Administrators, and know what is happening in their facilities. The regional staff were great to work for and with. I have no complaints from my time with Cascades.

Do not work here!
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) - Saint George, UT - November 24, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I’ve never had a worse experience at a job. I loved the patients but that was the only good thing. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The management! No realistic support. Unless the facility was under inspection, you won’t get help. Always short staffed and employees come and go like a revolving door. Poor pay, and abysmal working conditions. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? All about the money. Patients and staff don’t matter. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Insanity from the moment you walk in.

Terrible place to work
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) - Galveston, TX - November 24, 2023
Will fire you if you get hurt how does this show you care about your employees or the patients? Numerous tags of neglect facility is filthy smells bad. Note most of the good reviews are from Utah this is where corporate is located.

Changing for the better
Administration (Current Employee) - Salt Lake City, UT - September 22, 2023
This company has made huge changes over the last year. Great things to come for this organization. They have put a lot of trust in some of the leaders and they are taking the ball and running with it.

The work is important and you become close with those who work in the trenches with you
Marketing and Admissions Coordinator (Former Employee) - Orem, UT - September 13, 2023
I think ultimately the job I had was great and the people I worked with were awesome too. I have a lot of good memories from a personal stand point and I will always be happy to help those who needed it most. There were definitely some more intense moments with co-workers and staff but I think it overall was because everyone cared about their area of the building and their position. I do feel like the marketing/admissions position had many ups and downs and you could easily be scape goated for a low census (number of residents) while not getting a lot of credit for times of a higher census. It's a position that you can control a lot of things, but I don't think you have the ultimate control that corporate expects you to have.
Pros
You get to be out of the building to market and meet great hospital case managers and patients
Cons
Target is on your back from day one

No support from corporate , they only care about bottom line What is the work environment and culture like at the company? All about cutting budgets , they don’t even want to spend money on repairs What is a typical day like for you at the company? Full of stress wondering what budget they are going to cut next

Jobs at Cascades Healthcare
Overall really good
Licensed Practical Nurse (Current Employee) - Midvale, UT - August 29, 2023
With current management this is a great place to work. This was my first LTC job and everyone in Nursing was so supportive and ready to help. They are short, but there is always opportunity to work more. I was paid fair for the work I was asked to do. Benefits are average. You only get holiday pay if you are full time AND receiving benefits.
Pros
Culture, patients, workload, flexible scheduling
Cons
Holiday pay

always chaotic
RN Staff Nurse (Former Employee) - Wichita, KS - August 19, 2023
low worked all the time and calling Every day for shifts only to cancel me. The pay isn't even good for an agency company the pay they are offering you can get by being regular staff at a facility.

Stressful and office personnel are very closed door.

They paid to little with too much work. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Clickish.. administrator not keeping his word. What is a typical day like for you at the company? It was ok but it got harder to work there for me due to my anxiety and other issues.
Dishwasher (Former Employee) - Buhl, ID - July 12, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I enjoyed talking to the residents and taking their orders for meals. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Getting the dishes done on time was hard for me. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It was good but there was tension in both the servers and the kitchen staff. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Come in, get clocked in, check or set up salad bar if later in the day. Check drinks and desserts. Greet residents as they come and sit at their tables. Make sure there is coffee and water at all tables. Begin taking orders when chef is ready. When meals are completed and dishes have been cleared, cleaning the dining room and taking all the tablecloths and napkins to laundry to be done. Resetting the tables with silverware, glasses and napkins.

Wish the state would shut this horrible careless building down and help the residents
Nursing (Current Employee) - South Ogden, UT - June 19, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? the residents are what make it all worth it. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? no communication between management and staff. Management will sneak around and find ways to get rid of you if you do not fit in the "Click" that is the front office staff. They lie to the residents and staff and treat staff like lower class citizens. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? very "Clickish" like high school. Not professional at all. no respect for any staff lower than management. However, If you are related to a management staff, you are spared the drama and rude, disrespectful behaviors. What is a typical day like for you at the company? I do my job. I am not there to make friends or pretend I am in high school. I am there for the residents who deserve more than this company can give.

Horrible company.
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) - Ogden, UT - May 8, 2023
Simply a company there to make money. Has no care for their employees or residents. It’s out of date, stinky, and poorly ran. It’s honestly a joke working for this company.
Cons
Short staffed, horrible management, money hungry
