Nice working group with a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. I enjoyed working there and would recommend the age cy for prospective employment.

2 Thumbs DOWN

Senior management team sucks! They do not value their employees or care to invest in them. Pay sucks. Company is disorganized. Turn over rate is high. Stay away

Pros

Some decent staff and clients

Fulfilling work, steady progress throughout the organization

Catholic Social Services is loyal to their employees. The organization is going through growing pains but the management tries to be understanding and is communicative. There are still some old fashioned ways of doing things but the organization is moving in the right direction. Work is very fulfilling as the organization works very closely with clients with dire needs for basic necessities. My favorite place I have every worked

Pros

Small enough to make an impact, large enough for opportunities

Cons

Simetimes middle-management and senior managment don’t get along

Worst place

Management is a joke and do no training. They expect you to train yourself then only criticize the work you do without any proper training. Micromanaging is constant.

necessary to have a passion for social work

In order to keep up with the fast paced nature of working for a social services company run by the Catholic Church, you need to have some sort of connection with the type of work. Very charitable in nature. Some positions pay pretty well.

Not properly managed.

Enjoyed the work with the people who came for services. I am all about helping and empowering. However CSS does not have a good work environment and is poorly managed.

Pros

helping the people of new bedford with services

Cons
