Job Culture
Fun company and unlike any other job!
Broker (Current Employee) –  Antioch, TNMay 23, 2019
The culture here is great. Everyone gets along and we feel like a big family. There’s games/activities each month. You truly feel like you are cared for. There’s 1 on 1s with your team leader and the president. So if you have a problem or something is going on in your life, you will always have someone there to help you.

Culture, leadership

Not a long-term career
Broker (Former Employee) –  Antioch, TNMay 24, 2018
Would not recommend working here unless this is a short-term solution.
Loud, “fun” work environment is just a way to get people in the door.

Opportunities for advancement are extremely limited.

Client Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNSeptember 11, 2017
The way they make the job seem is a ploy. There is no room for advancement and you better go the extra mile to be treated fairly. Unless you go golfing or to the bar with the higher management, be read to be screwed over. This is a fake it until you make it, pay check to pay check job. Favoritism is present so unless you kiss up forget about liking your job. Oh, and they pressure the current staff to write good reviews to our balance the bad.

It was not a bad place to work. It is set up for a person right out of college that needs a job. You will pretty much top out on your 2nd or 3rd year.

They do not practice what they preach, you have to read books for raises nothing is based on your work performance. This place is a joke and very poor with communication.

Carrier Services Representative (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNApril 20, 2017
Pay ok, coworkers are not. It seems like they only employ frat boys or people with that mentality as brokers who expect you to cater to them. Some wanted absolutely no communication with the carriers after the deal was done.

Job Culture
Make sure its worth it
Broker (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNJanuary 19, 2017
To most, this job would be perfect! It is a loud music frat house with big open areas to go crazy in.
It is when they let off an airhorn for no reason or not ask your opinion on maters regarding yourself.
The most incredibly impersonal place with people that want you to be super personal. Office politics play a big factor in your advancement and also if you stay on.
You offten need to stay late because of things that NEED done, but you do not have overtime for it. They paid very well, also, had a lot of nice and fun events that most could pertisapate in. Because it is a very high stress environment they have cool things like a pingpong table or a massage person come in.
They are not listening to the real problems of the place, and solving a symptom of of the issue.
Pros
Flexable, amazing bonuses, very nice looking place to work in
Cons
High stress, prominent office polotics

Call Center Representative (Former Employee) –  Antioch, TNSeptember 6, 2016
A typical day of work consists of lots of music, hustle from the phones ringing and screaming coming from the brokers end when they made a big sale, which was often.

Broker (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNAugust 24, 2016
Their claim a great culture is actually just a ploy used to draw in college kids fresh out of school with loud music and dreams of grandeur. This job is aimed at people with no experienced and just looking to collect a pay check. They stifle all creativeness as well as all individuality and treat you like a robot or drone who is supposed to just follow in suit mindlessly.
Pros
Your co-workers

Too many bosses

Enjoyed my time here at Cavalry. Learned and grew so much into the man I am today. Learned about making deals and the importance of your word and sticking to it when it may not be the most fun. At the same time a workplace culture focused on fun and energy!

Great work enviorment with strong focus personal development
broker (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNDecember 4, 2015
First, the work environment is great! There is a great mix of people who come from all different backgrounds. The diversity at Cavalry is what makes the culture fun and exciting. The team aspect is what sold me on Cavalry. It works because it is not everyone fending for themselves. Every employee starts out on the same platform and if you are willing to put in the effort to succeed, you will reap the benefits. The management is great and very understanding. They preach effort over talent. If you want to succeed the management will do everything in their power to provide you the necessary opportunities to do so. The book list is also very important. By no means is the job easy. If you want a job that is going to challenge you this is a great place to be. Second, the company does a lot for the community and stresses helping others and giving back.
Pros
Great work enviornment, commission, personal development programs, 1K bonus for reading book list
Cons
Biggest con is no direct deposit, but they do pay weekly.

Brokered loads for businesses without authority to do themselves. Compensated well with a great base pay and preformance based comission paid monthly. Management was supportive in teaching you how to have a successful attitude and had employee appreciation days often.
Pros
Free Lunches, Massage days, Great benefits
Cons
Company was not financially stable due to previous partner altering financial books.

Employee Value-Focused Company with emphasis on Changing the Lives of their employees
General Manager (Current Employee) –  Warrenville, ILDecember 5, 2012
Cavalry is a place where you are encouraged to read 20 books from a Development Book-list to earn an extra $1000. I remember paying $1000s to be told to read books in College, but this Company got it right! The team environment at Cavalry is similar to what you find in a sports organization, the support extends outside of office interactions. Their #1 Core Value-'Focus on the Person' shines through in their customer, carrier, and employee interactions. All decisions are based on the following poem by Roosevelt- " The Welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally on the welfare of all of us".
