I only Interned for CCC
Intern (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNOctober 13, 2017
I was not a direct employee of CCC. They are a very competitive organization, and they ensure the next generation of leaders are equipped in the area of grassroots organizing. They seek to engage the community and be involved in what all people need.

Multi-site Technical Assistance Provision
Community Planning Specialist/Field Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCSeptember 8, 2013
I worked for a major international funder on a multi-site community renewal initiative. I managed on site technical assistance. It was never boring because neighborhood residents were convened to form local governing bodies. My worked coordinated their community change efforts.

Funds were given to local philanthropy and then distributed through the local governing body to implement community change efforts. It was sometimes challenging to facilitate balance between the risk aversion of the local philanthropy and the change oriented zeal of the community residents.

I maintained good relations with all parties and enjoyed seeing participants growing to appreciate the perspectives of others. I continue to be in touch with some of the participants after all of these years.
