I feel sick and disgusted about going to work at CFH daily

Answered

Increase staffing in all areas. Burnout is a serious problem and as a result there are a profound number of staffing turn overs. I believe it is a dangerous situation to assign 1 nurse for 6 patients. I rarely get what its considered a 'lunch break and often find myself in front of the computer charting during my so called break. I am often reprimanded by my charge nurse for I filing a ' no lunch ' variance form. It is against the law for not offering a break for the number of hours worked. I have considered writing Midas reports on the nights I have 6 acute patients. It is not fair to our customers to be neglected in any manner. I am feeling the effects of burnout and I am considering trensfering to a less dangerous situation. Administration needs to look at this hospital wide problem and preventing the possibility of law suits by our clients.
