Horrible Safety, you're just a number!

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
This company doesn't care one bit about your safety. The trucks are new but very under powered and the front ends float on you. Chassis's are too long for pulling doubles. Not to mention, the trailers and dollies are so out dated. Local management is pathetic and very unprofessional. Good luck, if you choose this place. You'll quickly see what I mean if you do....

Pros

Decent pay but not worth it.

Cons

Too many to list

Most stressful , low paying job

I’m making the same amount i did as a delivery driver. Getting sent all over the place for low pay. I’d be lucky if i made 950 a week. I wouldn’t mind getting sent all the way from the boondocks to a destination 4 and a half hours away if i was getting paid. Mentally checked out

Pros

Will hire you fresh from out of school

Cons

Everything you can imagine being wrong about a company.

Hands on Truck job good pay

New trucks, everyday you have a different route, have to unload at every stop & do pick ups after you empty the truck then unload your truck at the dock once you return, which make the shifts long. good pay overall good job

Good pay bad management

Great pay but trailers our junk and benefits stink! Linehaul dispatch lies constantly and could care less about safety. They just care about moving freight

Central plays favorites.

The job could be easy if the dispatch team and management did not play favorites and if they maintained safe forklifts for the drivers to unload their trailers at the end of the day.

Pros

Decent pay

Cons

Dispatch team treats drivers like animal dong when the terminal manager is in his office.

Very challenging, there is no training. No organization. In multiple years i never even saw an employee handbook.

Some good people trying to make the impossible possible. The company offers no direction there’s no organization. They don’t even offer an employee handbook. No training manual or training offered. It’s a sink or swim program. The equipment is outdated they make an attempt to update it but the new ones are trash! Just not a place that plans for success at all!!

Pros

Some good people there

Cons

Health care is awful but wait they own the company that provides the healthcare coverage

What is the best part of working at the company?Nothing The Lord and my family pushed me through my time there. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Hourly Pay low for job expectations no overtime for dockworkers no time and 1/2 after 40hrs work. Company wants you on time but Forklift’s doesn’t operate accordingly. Internet Malfunction. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Where the Drivers do what they want management Kiss certain ones backside. Dockworkers (full time) like myself whom they never cared about bt help that terminal be top3 in the country Get overloaded with no compensation What is a typical day like for you at the company?Come in go to clock in on forklift which is odd why not a normal time clock but normally no internet connection so buy the time I do clock in I’m late. It’s normal but the company want you there on time you can’t punch in early neither. So get started 1. Straighten up trucks. 2. Start dunage, another truck 3. Then I did (2) trucks of Home Depot 4. Help late pull in driver unload trucks. 5. Fix trailers for unbound all in 10hr. I’m the only Fulltime employee no help whatsoever. In Ohio it get Pretty Cold here outside so image what I went through

Its an ok place to work

The pay is good but it can be very unorganized at times. If your on salary you do not get paid when you work extra hours which is very opposite of what I was told in my interview.

Careless about freight and employees

I would not recommend working for this employer. Run far, far, away. There is no real good orientation to get to know anyone in the company. You are never given any numbers to contact people in case you have a problem or have questions like HR, payroll, or anyone in safety. The trucks they claim are 2 years old or newer are dirty, trashed and not taken care of. Their "21st century" trailers have holes in the floors and roof. Doors, you need fork trucks to get to go up. They can care less about customers freight, stacking stuff that shouldn't be stacked just so they get maximum space usage. Some of the trailers look like they were loaded , then a grenade thrown in there. Management is a joke, they only care about delivery and pickup percentages to get their bonus. You have to work 55 hrs to get overtime and they mess with your pay, cutting it wherever they can all the time. Run!

Room to grow but no opportunity given.

Loved my coworkers and the schedule, but the management needs a change. Managers threatened to fire us for the dumbest things. Management was shady, never upfront with workers unless it was about giving you a write up. Instead of pushing the slow workers to step up to the pace of others, they got the good workers to do what the slow workers couldn’t do. High expectation but no compensation. Management needs a change urgently. My crew always tried to show camaraderie but management always went out of their way to oppose it. Under threat of being fired pretty much every day and after every meeting they would come up with a new reason why they would fire you. Super easy job, management made it harder.

Pros

Schedule, get out early and weekends off.

Cons

Management, no opportunities given.

What is the best part of working at the company? The pay. That was the only thing good there. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Every part of the work there. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Very poor. They treat you very badlyWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?15 to 22 hours days. Drive from your base company, work all night on the dock, do deliveries, then hook your trailer and drive back to your base. I would leave base at 7pm and not get back until 1pm the next day .

When working there management was one of the worse to work for at that time. Friends who still work there says it's somewhat better.

I hear now the pay is better new management. They disrespect seniority giving new employees the better routes. Which causes division amongst the employees.

Pros

A pay check

Cons

No respect

Opportunity for Advancement for Some

It’s a good opportunity to get an entry level job and for some there are great opportunities for advancement in the company. However, scheduling and hours are unfavorable.

Stepping stone

For someone just starting off in the comercial driving field it’s a good stepping stone. Competitive pay, equipment is poor, from tractors to trailers and forklifts. The terminal is horrible shape, it’s all dirt and huge holes, your skills will sharpen real quick in those conditions.

Decent company

The pay is great to be home every night. The company could def do with better management but overall they don’t bother you. You’ll be at the shop a lot for trailers but it’s a simple straightforward gig

Not the best place for your cdl

The company does not care about its employees. If you are a p&d driver they do not care you just have to make the delivery no matter truck route or not.

Pros

Nothing I can think of.

Cons

Stinky bathrooms, pay, management.
