Revolving door where good, hard-working and loyal employees are used and abused then pushed out the door. Sr. Management and HR allow back stabbing among employees. The residential lending dept is a mess, ruined by Management that only understands commercial lending. Those that hung out at the local dive bar received preferential treatment from the CLO. Everyone else walks on egg shells afraid for their jobs.

Many other reviews accurately describe this bank. The staggering turnover makes sense - good people walk out every week. In the IT department, there were no secrets, and it was easy to see who was ready to leave and who was getting fired. The best decision I've made for my career is walking out and not looking back.

Look for a job somewhere else, literally anywhere else, unless you like being overworked for poor pay, no appreciation, and lack of opportunity. This company has gone downhill fast! Put someone else in charge that cares about employee or you’re going to lose them all.

Centreville Bank has been a great place to work. The employees are hard working and will do what is best for the customers. Fun place to work. Centreville bank is very involved with the community.

I will never set foot in this place again. The management is insensitive and their practices are so outdated it makes your job nearly impossible. They play favorites and their hr is a nightmare.

Where do I start about this loving place. First let me say Hi to everyone who is reading this and is going to take time out of there day to figure out who wrote it . Good luck with that! Since most of them see these reviews and think it's funny. Pretty sad when a former President is disgusted with what has been done here. But the higher up wants everyone to think they are great to their employees. Doing an employee appreciation week hardly makes up for the mistreatment and very poor morale. Let's not forget the indecisiveness of management. How many times do employees have "to chase the cheese"? If it's stale it must go! That's the new bank motto. Shuffling of staff and departments are just ridiculous. No one makes decisions as a whole and there is always some kind of backstabbing involved. Forget if you are not management your voice is not heard. Management makes the biggest mistakes and tries to pin them on other employees. Unless of course you are friends with the newest President. Then you are free to do whatever it is you want. The outside and lobby looks beautiful but don't let that fool you of all the ugly inside. Save your resume, skills, and time apply elsewhere.

Stop hiring friends from other institutions. Firing employees for simple errors should not be allowed. The newest member in Operations has made the environment so toxic and one of fear, negativity, and hostility. Employees walk on eggshells and feel the need to defend themselves if an error is made. The micromanagement needs to come to an end. The employees should be trusted and respected especially long-term employees. The favoritism of one certain department is quite obvious. The rest are treated as if they don't matter. In reality, the institution would not be able to function without them. They don't foster a work environment where employees are comfortable or confident in sharing ideas, taking action, or participating in decisions. That is all up to senior management and everything is confidential. The changes in retail are also repugnant. All bankers and are operational employees are so badly mistreated. Replace current President with the person who truly belongs in that position. She can start replacing the SVPs and VPs who share the same negative mentality that adds to the day to day stress and hostility.

The bank is attempting to grow, but the current senior management staff either does not know how to get there or cannot agree on the best path. Personal agendas take priority over what is best for the business. Some changes are rushed and not planned all the way through while others are overthought and so slow moving that the outcome is obsolete by the end of project. Recognition of a job well done has almost completely disappeared. Communication is nonexistent. The atmosphere is tense and fearful. It has not always been like this. The business was built on solid principles and used to value its employees.

Very conservative and traditional bank. Operates in the past, not on the cutting edge in ideas or technology. Great benefits though, worth it in that regard.

Pettiness overshadows the WHOLE working environment. Backstabbing and cutthroat. The HR department is not helpful when escalation of issues or conflicts is needed. Management is self centered. No team atmosphere. It doesn't matter how hard you work or how long you've been with the company, you are dispensable. Needs to work on communication. Department organization is a mess.

Ungrateful upper management that just use employees until they are no longer needed. Management lies about employees to make them look better. No recognition for knowledge or for doing exceptional work. Very low morale and independent, creative thinking is not encouraged or rewarded. Very inflexible and antiquated views, not a forward thinking or progressive organization.
