Pay per chart is a problem
Written by HCC Coder (Former Employee) from New Jersey on October 12, 2018
Sounds really good financially in the beginning, considering the average chart would be about 30 pages. However, this is not always the case, especially when they are about to run out of charts. HCC codes have to be captured on every DOS, which really slows you down, when it's a big chart. If you get one or two charts like this in a day, it's Ok, - more... unfortunately, I had days when all the charts were larger than 70 pages. These kind of projects can be time consuming and do not pay well, in a pay per chart situation. In other words, you'll be making less than minimum wage per hour on thos ... - less
ProsFlexibility, great coding software
ConsPay per chart
