Good Honest place to work
Stocker/Cashier (Current Employee) - Pensacola, FL - December 14, 2019
If youre a fast learning and honest person who likes to stay busy at work to pass the time instead of goofing off, this is a good place to be. There is always work to be done, youll never run out. I feel very valuable to my company and there is a very friendly and supportive atmosphere between employees and management. Sure, it can be a bit tough sometimes, but there are also some days that just breeze by. Ive also thought about the kind of business we are and it is probably beneficial to the environment and helpful to low income families. Our company thrives off of selling things other big name stores dont want at really low prices to people who may not otherwise be able to afford them (and some who just want a bargain). Our stores help eliminate waste. Knowing that gives me a sense of pride in my work. Im helping to do something that is morally upright and making money doing so. My boss is a very fair and sensible man with a good sense of humor and I have found that as long as you are friendly and honestly helpful, youll never get a difficult customer.
Pros
Near several restaurants, an hour for lunch, staff is kind and supportive, room to learn and grow
Cons
can be overwhelming to some

The management was very bad
Cahsier , stocker (Former Employee) - Enterprise, AL - August 6, 2019
They were rude to customers and employees. They only helped the customers they liked and I didn’t like that Cause your suppose to be very happy and helpful to every customer

Produtive and fun place to work
Stocker/Cashier (Current Employee) - Slidell, LA - August 2, 2019
Its a great job but they cut hours and its hard to make a living I was suppose to be full time but get between 32-35 hours they do work with hours if you need to work two jobs. The hardest part of the job is stocking and condensing.

If for any reason the manager doesn’t like you then she would make it hard to stay with Dirt Cheap I never missed a day I was never late I never asked for a day off I worked every Saturday so when I was told about a position that I was being considered for I was excited but out of nowhere a guy who was only there for about 3or4 months gave a two week notice and was gone for a couple of weeks came back and got the position
