The interview lasted about 45 minutes. It was a formal interview that focused on my work experience. You might also be asked to answer questions in writing. Both interviewers were pleasant and friendly but I can tell that they mean business. Which I can appreciate.

When families are not consistent with their schedules, the employed caregivers need to contact the office to request additional referrals. Those who take initiative to openly and regularly communicate their availability with families, schedule weeks in advance, and stay in touch with the office tend to work more hours. The company posts a sample of family requests for respite on the Staff page of the website every two weeks at www.IslandSocialServices.org
