Working at a fun, friendly salon with an upbeat atmosphere made me love going to work everyday. My clientele were a pleasure to interact with on regular basis. It seemed tohave the feel of a close knit family after so many years. The pay was incredible and made me advance to new levels in my personal life. Overall the 20 years spent there were years that I will never forget.

Lacking management Long hours standing Difficulty keeping clientele (groupons) Alot of volunteering not paid Obscure errands coffee, dry cleaning ect

a day at Charles Ifergan

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Oakbrook Il - April 23, 2013

A day at Charles Ifergan Salon would start with me opening the hair salon and then going through voicemails and making sure i take messages to return clients calls. I checked in the hair stylist as they came in and balanced my drawer, then open all the cabinets for the hair products, i checked in clients, made appoinments, deposit checks to bank every night. I learned to be very patient, this was a high end salon and when a client wasnt happy i had to make sure to fix the problem quick, very high expectations. Management was great, i had constant comunication with him and he was always very undesrtanding. I loved my coworkers, they were all very nice and made work fun. Hardest part of the job was just dealing with some clients that were simply never satisfied, the most enjoyable part of the job was being able to see people get transformed, i loved that.
