Having worked my entire career at the Bank, I am not sure how it compares with other financial institutions or large firms. In my current role I interact closely with senior executives and have a boss who is too transparent. Having had a wide variety of finance/accounting managers, I can confidently say they the majority are not comfortable with providing constructive and timely feedback. Every two years you can almost guarantee your organization will be restructured and new executive management announced. With new leaders I have found that they are more focused on pushing their agenda and leaving behind a legacy rather than instilling sound business practices and accountability.
