You have the ability to make a lot in OT in 911

I am retiring after 32 years in our 911 center. A career that is as stable as unstable. Job security is good. By unstable I mean that you can plan to do things on your off time, but you may get drafted/reserved in early or have to stay late on your work days. There is tons of overtime available, so your salary can be a lot more if you are willing/able - more... to work for it. This is a 24/7 operation, so weekends and holidays should be expected. You do know your schedule a year in advance, but that is also subject to change if you are low in seniority and there is a shortage on a particular slot/ ... - less
Prosstraight 8 or 12 hour shifts
ConsShort breaks
