Poor management and poor compensation
Hygienist (Former Employee) – Cranberry, PA – July 3, 2017
I loved the dentist I worked with, but the management was terrible. Didn't know if the office would be open some days until the day before so you are calling and canceling patients with 24 to less than24hr notice. Would ask for help with trying to build a hygiene schedule and was constantly told "that will never work", went from being told I was working 2 nights a week to working 4 nights without being asked, patients were being scheduled into the lunch hour, pay is based on production which could be good if all your patients showed for the day and they had good insurance otherwise you would make more working at a bank. Very unethical in several of their practices as well, and felt like I was putting my license at risk. Unpaid sick and vacation time and holidays. Very rarely was there ever any words of encouragement or positive reinforcement, always was you aren't doing this enough etc.
