I left his company because I saw too many broken areas. I went to another company and took over managing one of the lowest performing stores in the company. Slowly we are getting out if crisis mode and making more profit. Here is the thing. Your company let's someone like me walk out the door because the management lacks the emotional intelligence and comptency to do their job. I have to say it. But it is better for this company to run itself into the ground than thrive. Chewy is like a dream for personal injury and wrongful termination attorneys. The only way you can fix this is to drop your ego, get down in the trenches and work with your employees, and actually observe your supervisors when they think your aren't watching. Your going to end up eating all of your profit up in lawsuits, workers comp, and free products.

This company encourages you to order and try new pet products saying you can donate them when they don't work out but then will flag your account for too many returns. They blame it on the system they are programming. So be careful doing business with them. They are not what they appear to be.

Treat warehouse employees like you do HR, with respect and act like you care. Don't do wonderful things the first week and then drop it after that. No consistency, no communication, no rewards, no reason to try. The employees don't give a care because management doesn't

Sounds as though the CEO may need to encourage a more positive culture. Maybe take notes from leading companies. When employees enjoy there job they actually don’t mind coming to work. Also productivity improves with happier employees. People stay longer. Reducing turnover so money that is wasted on new hires and orientation can be invested in employee development and or other things to be improve work environment.
