The hardest job you'll ever love!
Recruiter (Current Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLJune 12, 2018
If you looked up "work hard, play hard" in the dictionary, you'd see a picture of the offices of CHG Healthcare. This is a company that invests priceless training, benefits and culture in their employees. All they ask for in return is a commitment to excellence. If you want to provide good living for yourself and/or family, while also having access to great benefits and an upbeat work environment, this is the place for you. It won't be easy, but nothing great was ever easy, right?
Pros
excellent leadership, training, benefits, culture, team atmosphere, earning potential
Cons

Company Culture
Search Consultant (Former Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLMay 21, 2018
This company is big on company culture and focuses on maintaining their Fortunes Top 100 status.

The training consist of a general skills handbook, one week of general classroom "big picture" training, and then your off to the phones. There is too much general training for such a niche profession.

They have a long interview process to make sure you fit in there company's culture. It's one of those companies where you fit in and do well or you don't.

Two Different Companies
Healthcare recruiter (Former Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLMay 14, 2018
Headquartered in UT, the CHG of there vs the CHG of the east coast is very different. They tout certain "perks" but where they may be readily available in UT they are not in the east, namely FL. I was very excited to join this "family" only to find that the culture did not reach the eastern offices as portrayed on your first week on the job when they send you to UT for training.

CHG is a great place to work. Everyone cares both about the people and the company results. I have been impressed with this balance and it is unlike most workplaces.
Pros
Building, unique benefits like a free healthcare clinic, leaders care, the work although hard is satisfying

It is a hard job

Collections Manager (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJanuary 19, 2018
I would never have left if it weren't for the relationship with my manager. CHG really believes in their employees and culture. Work life balance is important there and they compensate very well in the back office roles.

If you find the right team and right leader this company can be wonderful
Sales (Current Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTDecember 27, 2017
The culture of CHG is fantastic. Most teams are great to work on, but it really depends on where you're at in the company. Working for CHG is far superior than working for one of the divisions, in my opinion.

Sales position is job specific and can only be marketed to a small group. Limits the potential pool to source on and prospect. Overall culture is great but pressure high

Disappointed
Lean Analyst (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTSeptember 19, 2017
CHG has a cult like culture unless you are dealing with management, then all bets are off and they can treat you terribly. In my experience, huge effort is put in to save face with higher ups, but there is an underlying counter culture. Don't get blinded by the hollow promises.

"Putting People First" more like, "Putting People Last".

beautiful new building

Putting People Last is the true mantra

Great company if your priority is work/life balance
Payroll Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLJuly 30, 2017
The company has a very vivid culture and great work/life balance. Lots of fun, flexibility and no micro management. However, the compensation is fair and not many opportunities to advance within a career.

Wonderful environment and people
HOSPITAL REP (Current Employee) –  Murray, UTJune 28, 2017
They make sure when they hire that the people they hire are going to fit into their values and culture. People are wonderful, and the company takes care of you. Their priority is their employees and the employees success. Managers work really well with the team members, and extremely easy to speak with.

Company does not always have the culture they promise.
Business Partner (Current Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTFebruary 16, 2017
I enjoy my job overall at CHG however the leadership has lost connection with the culture they pride themselves in. Putting People First is now becoming profits and numbers, then they will consider the people. They lack opportunity and training for coaching to coach their people as they are growing quickly. Many of the new people are not carrying the traditional core values the company is so proud of. Job security is as good as you are for the week, a drop in top numbers for a few weeks and you are given the opportunity to find new employment with a smile. The current executives have lost touch with what it means to care about the people, most do not know their name or face.

Sold something different
Physician Recruiter (Current Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJanuary 23, 2017
I was sold the core values and "culture" of this company. I didn't see any of what they sold in training and the person that recruited me. The only good people in the company work in the FL office

Sales Roles
Staffing Consultant (Current Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJuly 13, 2016
The culture at this company is truly amazing. However, the new compensation structure lacks motivation to the top performers. Also, it is near impossible for advancement (internally) unless you want to invest 3-5 years. After your time investment you will then take a pay cut to 60k per year. Don’t waste your time if you are looking for a career.

Great Culture and Great People
Manager (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJanuary 15, 2016
CHG was one of the best places I have worked. They truly believe in their people and live by their CORE values. Management is a little separated from day to day but they continue to grow their people. They pride themselves on delivering feedback and taking personal interest in their people.
Pros

Fun enviroment BUT
recruiter (Former Employee) –  ft lauderdale, floridaMay 1, 2015
I worked here for a year. In the beginning it was great. But you realize very quickly that the culture is very cliquish and management is two faced. Although management says its all about how if you work hard and do well, there are great advancement opportunities, thats not the case. The real way to advance is to be a relative of someone in management. Nepotism runs rampant here. The only way to hit their first year goal is to walk into a book of business from someone who got fired or quit. About 85 percent of new recruiters dont make it after 1 year. Base pay is small and doesnt reflect cost of living here in south Florida. Commissions are something left to be desired. Lots of favoritism here as well. If you were good friends with your dept manager, life was good. If not, its a difficult place to work as you are very micromanaged and constantly being threatened with termination for not hitting numbers. Overall, the atmosphere is casual but no real advancement opportunities and pay is not good compared to other recruiter agencies.
Pros
great benefits
Cons
management
