How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at CHI? What are the steps along the way?

We strive to complete the pre-employment process in two weeks or less. After the job offer is extended and accepted, we will contact you to complete the process for a background check (does not include checking your credit in stated in previous post), drug test, and employee health visit. Your responsiveness is very important to moving this process along as quickly as possible.

HR was ridiculously slow. If you're waiting for an interview, try contacting the unit manager that you're applying for, so they can pull your application, otherwise you may be waiting months.

The process takes maybe 4-6 weeks. You start with an orientation at the Infirmary and then your training at the clinic starts shortly after

Two to three weeks
two interviews and back ground check, drug screening

It took about a month to get through all the steps to get hired and begin working. Application, manager review, interview, then it goes to human resources for background checks, physical, and other checks. They didn't even check my references until almost the end before starting.

They will draw blood, drug screen, Hep B series if you don't have documentation. T.B. skin test. Physical assessment by a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner. The overall process is quick. The pay and benefits are great. It's a high turnover, because staff shortage.

The company is very clicky. I heard they won't hire you if your credit is bad.
