Great mission and people—poor management
Departments are very siloed across the organization.
Turnover is really high mainly due to such poor management and lack of qualified managers. As a result, the employees who stay longer than a few years are automatically promoted. Tenure at an organization does not translate to competency and effective project management.

Managers who work harder and not smarter, put in long hours and employees are expected to do the same because there is no belief in “work/life balance”. Simple employee morale perks like working from home or flex time are not an option.

The employees are really nice and it is a family-like atmosphere which is really enjoyable. The mission and the services provided to the families are incredible.
Pros
Great employees and organizational mission
Cons
Poor management and long hours

Upper Management
CCAC is a great place to work and great opportunity to learn from all different parties involved in collaboration. However management needs great improvement as there is a level of favoritism and lack of HR department as there is only one individual who does not respect privacy. Change in management would make a world of difference thus making an already stressful job less stressful.
Pros
days off
Cons
lack of pay for on calls and over time

Rewarding work, but stressful environment
Hard to balance work and personal life. No on-site childcare, departments work in silos, and lacking of transparency. Innovation and creativity aren't always valued, especially if ideas differ from the admin team. The most rewarding part of the experience, was providing resources and advocating for the families.
Pros
Collaborative Team Members and Families
Cons
Mid-Upper Management - Workplace Culture

Recommend for first year college students
A typical day at CCAC was all about the patients at that clinic. I helped transport them to the clinic so they have their appointments successfully done.

Stressful and Difficult enviornment
Be prepared to work more then 40 hours. The two biggest challenges at this agency is upper management and room to grow. The mission is great, but as employee, NOT recommended
Pros
Paid Time off
Cons
Executive Management and No Room for everyone to grow

Work if Fullfilling
This is a great organization to work for. I have been there for almost three years and I love this organization because of its mission. The upper management is great and the staff are wonderful and passionate about what they do.
Pros
Lunch room, paid time off.
Cons
Work hours need to be flexible.

challanging, hard to balence with other parts of life
This is a place that can do some good work but needs to work on its management, structure and and clinical expertise. Also plan to put in 60 hours for a 40 hour week.

Fun environment working with a multi-disciplinary team
The best part about this job is the people you get to work with everyday. The job can be mentally taxing at times since you are working with crisis situation all day but its definitely rewarding and the team really makes a conscious effort to support one another.
