A typical day at work would include, arriving 1 1/2 early to prepare for the day. Workplace culture is sometimes stressful due to being required to teach as well as handle behavioral issues. The hardest part of the job is being required to reach 3-4 different learning levels in one classroom, as well as working with diverse learners. The most enjoyable - more... part of the day is seeing the light bulb go off in a student's mind when they learn skills being taught, or performing at or above their subject goals, which were set for them at the beginning of the school year. - less
ProsAcknowledging teachers for their hard work and going above and beyond.
ConsNo breaks when staff calls off, teachers cannot just walk out of a classroom, numerous lesson plans required to accommodate various student abilities.
