In order to get the hang of things in the workplace is different for everyone. Online training helped but only but so far. The most effective learning method is working in the kitchen, front of the counter, and with customers to understand how to handle certain situations and how to make a person's order. It takes a few weeks to get the hang of things. I did not need any help during the third week but certain unique situations will occur where you will need assistance. If you need help, refer to your online training and ask the team leaders or runners for help. If you do not know the answer to a question, make sure the customer knows you will be asking someone to help them with the situation. You will learn as you go and remember to pay attention because things can get hecked. Sometimes customers will even help you if you are flustered or confused.
