Hard work
Wonderful staff of Sales Associates. Need to enhance management skills. Earlier schedules would be helpful for family planning. Off season hours are very slow.

Good management, Poor pay
You can’t expect much from retail unless you’re in a managing position but the pay is horrible. Good for students and those who don’t have major bills. They can definitely afford to pay their employees more given the money this company makes.

Company was in a state of flux
ChicosFAS might be a gray company now they they weathered the storm. I was hired by an SVP who presented my plan to the CEO and it was approved— 3 weeks later CEO was let go and 5 months later my manager… my plan and support left that very day.When companies are in this spiral, it is similar to the show Survival. Alliances became key and wrong alliances became fatal… this would be a fun case study for B-school! 🙂

Great place to work!
I enjoyed working for Chico’s. Chico’s is a high class retail store and the clientele appreciates the employees. Our store was involved in helping out with community events. These kind of community events made it even more special to work there.

Interesting
The people make the job. Your team is your lifeline and so dedicated to helping each other. The culture, however, is not great. Underpaid, overworked due to many layoffs, the handling of covid was overall poor. But the transition to remote/digital work was wonderful. Overall, I recommend for learning if nothing else.
