Great! Nothing would change. I would do it again if i could. This offers top notch training, resources and support. They are the leading agency in social services delivery.

Administrator (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCSeptember 11, 2018
This agency is a contradiction to its own mission. If you don't agree with the often unethical things that transpire you are doomed. Beware of management as they are cut throat. I would not recommend this agency to anyone who is a self starter and independent thinker. This place is awful !
Pros
Competitive Salary
Cons
Stressful and unhealthy work enviornment

Child Welfare is rewarding and stressful work
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  DC - District of Columbia, DCApril 12, 2018
Overall, it was a great learning experience, I would not change it.

Its a fast paced job, frequent changes, and higher workloads.

The environment can at times be immature and unprofessional.

Your work experience is greatly influenced by your supervisor and team. I've experienced both negative and positive colleagues.

Policies and practices are easily influenced by the general public and politics.
Pros
Benefits, compensation
Cons
Management, constantly changing rules and policies, high workloads.

The worst culture in the world to work. All about who you know not what you know. If you are not a "favorite" despite being a productive worker, manager, supervisor, you are subject to be dismissed, degraded, and overlooked.

I worked at a group home and the staff was very supportive of each other and in that environment you have to be. Working as a team and be on the same level was helpful with the staff.
