It depends on where you are placed. However, overall, there is a lot of gossip/drama/dissatisfaction.

Most people respond positively to their direct supervisor/manager and then talk behind that person's back about how they disagree.

There can also be a lot of turmoil between staff. However, in certain houses there is a great bond that is fostered and you feel a sense of being part of a team/community and can feel ver supported.

Overall - like any place - keep your opinions to yourself and don't trust anyone in the beginning, but depending on where you are placed, you can have a great work culture. Different "cottages" function differently.

Very few - if any - like upper management, but also refuse to speak up
