Very caring and rewarding work environment.
USDA Program Specialist (Former Employee) – Richmond, VA – March 28, 2014
This position afforded the opportunity to learn another access data base called minute menu. A typical day was very busy. The beginning of the month was spent during paperwork, examining claims to be processed, fling paperwork, entering new enrollments for children being care for in home daycare providers. The last two weeks in the month was going out on home visits to make sure program requirements were being met. The most challenging part of the job was dealing with provider participants who were non-compliant and certain actions had to be taken against them, sometimes drastic measures. I think the most rewarding part was being able to assist the providers with tools that would ensure quality care and for filling program mission.
Flexable schedule, great resources to provide quality care for program participants.
Not enough funding to for-fill all goals set.
