I made more money on unemployment, told the GM exactly this and she didn't give care. working at chili's was a low point in my life but had no other options at the time without compromising my dignity. hostile work environment, stupid managers, mean servers. how anyone works there or eats there is beyond me. all corporate restaurants are ridiculous jokes. Brinker Intl makes billions of dollars a year yet pays their staff peanuts and the food is absurd.

Answered

No but I got some raises and my pay was $9.50. Pretty good for a host.

Answered

Normally you either start as a host and get moved up to the to go position, or they start you off right away in to go. They will train you, and you will learn quite a bit.

Answered

You do not need prior hosting/restaurant experience to be a host at Chili's. Hosting is a very easy, standard, and fun job. There isn't a lot to hosting so you get trained very easily.

Answered

I do not plan to leave. However, if I ever did leave, it would be because I found a better or a full time job. Also, I could end up leaving from getting treated terrible by other workers. It does happen a lot when you are a host. Some servers are demanding and entitled when it comes to what TYPE of tables they and how many tables they get sat. You never stop hearing the servers argue with you.

Answered
