No respect

Work somewhere else. Do not work for Choice Hotels. Find a different job. Seek employment elsewhere. They discriminate. Wrong place to work. No respect, understanding or communication. Work somewhere else.

As a franchisor, Choice Hotels International does not own or operate hotels franchised under its brands, and the hotel staff are employed by the independent owner of the hotel. We recommend that you provide your feedback on the applicable brand site on Indeed (e.g., Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, etc.) and identify the particular hotel at which you were employed.

Bad management

No clear direction on the company's future .the company pays well but no one is very happy. Will never be a leader in the new book tools needed to compete in the 10 years ....Scary really !

Fast paced environment good bonuses

I enjoyed working with the customers, and co-workers. I learned a lot about the different parts of the US. I enjoyed the Million Dollar Banquet. My supervisor made me feel like a human being

Fast Paced and Stressful

Worked in an in-coming call center and calls were timed. It was held against you if a customer had a problem that took more that a minute to solve and you were discouraged from sending difficult calls to a supervisor who could solve it quicker and you can go on to the next call. If you stayed on more than maybe 3 or 4 minutes with a customer, you could be written up. Management actually made threats.

Never a weekend off unless you had been there a long time. It was very monotonous. Kind of stressful. Not the kind of job I enjoyed. Some found it very rewarding

Excellent work environment.

Choice Hotels allows work from home option for call center. On-going training available Co-workers are similar minded and supportive Typical work day requires a lot of sitting. Worked from home

Busy workplace with good opportunity for lateral moves, lots of food and fun picnics.

Working at Choice Hotels was a great opportunity for me to learn more about the travel industry, while making new friends in our new home in the Grand Valley. A typical day at work was fast-paced and included a lot of talking and explaining, diplomacy, a quick grasp of changing promotions. Management was supportive and encouraging. Co-workers were mostly helpful and fun. The hardest part of the job was when the computer was down, I suppose, because people would have already waited on hold, and were told to call back. The most enjoyable parts of the job were the short commute, the changing schedules, the ability to apply for other temporary positions to learn something new, and of course the monthly birthday cake!

Great Work Place

Good management, fun and safe workplace. I learned a lot and it was very rewarding. I loved making the guests feel good and making them happy. THe hardest part was not being able to please everyone.

a good woking environment with a breakroom

Take telephone calls to help members with a frequent stayer program, and reservations, handled complaints. the most satisfying part of the job was building a rapport with my customers and interacting with my coworkers. My worst part of the job was a few unreasonable customers that just could not be satisfied. I had a great relationship with my Managers.

Productive and fun location to be employed

a very rewarding location to be employed. Strong work ethic and values. Management willing to work with regarding time of for school and person reasons. Environment enjoyable and stress free.

Fast paced and highly competitive workplace

Researched accounts, answered questions, and worked with new customers. Successfully pacified hostile orantagonistic callers and negotiated a mutually agreeable solution by patiently providing alternatives to reconcile thecustomer's needs with the company's objectives.

This company has many double standards and although they claim to be dual client based, they are mostly representative of hotels and not guests.

Spent 8 hours per day on phones answering customer complaints and working to resolve customer issues.Learned effective procedures to satisfy guests without giving them anything.Management in this company is very inconsistent, and favor is granted on likeability not work ethic.Most of the co-workers in this company are hard working individuals with great attitudes toward each other.The hardest part of this job is to keep up with the company's changing attitude of what is "correct" customer service.I most enjoyed actually being able to help the customers in a way that was pleasing to them and being able to give them what they had honestly earned in the way of incentives

This is a awesome place to work. They go above and beond to work with you for attending college classes. They offer health and wellness opportunities. There is room to move up in company.
