I would recommend this district to anyone looking for employment and benefits. You become eligible for benefits once you have a six hour plus run and have a choice of twenty-two or twenty-six pays the latter stretching your pay over the entire year in case you do not work over the summer. There use to be plenty of overtime , but that slowly eroded away.

Christina school district is a great place to learn new skills no matter the job title you hold. I do believe that pay could be increased, especially with more education and experience. Overall, good company.

The district constantly changes curriculum and initiatives, not allowing teachers the time to truly learn and implement them before they are changed again. The district has a high special education population without enough supports for them or teachers, making it difficult to teach those children and regular education students in the same classroom. Many teachers work over 10 hours a week outside of contracted time to keep up with the never ending demands of the job. Senior teachers are even having difficultly with behavioral management because disruptive students need to stay in the classroom. We have been told that it is better for the student to stay in class, yet it prevents other students from learning and encourages bad behavior from others.
