Good place to work owner was a little crazy

Indeed Featured review

typical day at work was getting the crew started and out the door but before that you had to create a schedule and stops they needed to make and let them know what equipment they needed to begin the day.

Very fun environment.

I loved working for Christy Webber! All the employees were friendly and willing to help. There was always a employee event or a bbq. Each department had events and invited other departments. The best company I've ever worked for hands down.

Great Place to work! Great team environment.

Must be a self starter and be able to mange your work load. It will feel like a lot during growing season but it challenges you. Great work life balance, if you are from the landscaping industry you will get it. Weekends off 99.9% of the time.

Pros

Company Car, Great Work Life Balance, Everyone Works Well Together

Cons

Medical is Expensive

Manipulation and shady tactics

This is the type of places that threatens to fire or deduct from your pay just because the manager feels like it. They will leave ya at home for days or weeks at a time then expect you to jump once you've already started working else were because there's a lack of communication

Stressful and Axniety Ridden Work Place

If you are good at landscape and love the outdoors then this is a good place for you. However, I feel that the company does not value its human capital. The owner is oppressive and treats employees like small children, often berating them in front of other staff. You work many hours without fair compensation. However, you are not micro managed and have a lot of freedom as long as you hit your goals.

Good job. Appreciate the opportunity that was given unto me.

Overall I took on a job I never expected never dreamed of or visualize however it turned out to be quite different and interesting. I enjoyed the learning experience I gained from it and hope to utilize it in my future endeavors!

It’s was a relaxing , hard working

We all work together, have lunch together when we were on break , they will throw us little party if we did a good job, or have a rough day. We all work on our pace but together.

FEAR Driven and Take a Number at the door as an employee

***WARNING*** The company is run on fear where the employee is a number rather than a human. Over about a 5 year span there were approximately 100 either fired, "laid off" or quit that were office employees. Thats on average almost 2 people per month. That in of itself should tell you the type of company. You will feel the wrath of the owner on a daily basis. From name calling to being belittled to being accused of just about everything you will spend more time trying to explain yourself or covering your butt than doing the actual job. Company thrives on drama. There is no loyalty at all and as far as a career thats all but non existent. Dont believe all the interviews of the owner where its told that the employee is important, or the owner does so much its done for one reason the owners gain.

Pros

Certain co-workers

Cons

No career, no advancement, fear driven top management

Productive

My typical day at work could be busy at times. I've learned the proper procedures of maintaining trees and plants. I work well with my co-workers, they help me with the things I don't know. What I enjoy the most is I learn something new everyday.

Good full-time hard labor experience

Days were usually 12 hours long with hard labor intensive work. I learned how to manage my time while working full-time throughout the summer. My co-workers were wonderful people and we got along great and always worked as a team. The most difficult part of the job was getting used to the transition into working full-time because it made it much more difficult to train for football over the summer. The part that I most enjoyed about this particular job was the experience I was able to obtain. It gave me a much larger perspective on what's important to me and how other people act when their job is all they have.

This company is a user company. They really don't respect the employee.

I worked for CWL for over 5 + years. At first they give the impretion that your knowledge, experience etc is valued. Unfortunately it is not. In all reality ther is no history with their employees over 90% of the workforce has been employeed there less than two years. That alone says alot.

Cons

no respect
