Like working out of your car
Outpatient Therapist (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLNovember 20, 2017
Only get paid if your client actually shows up, no real structure or clinical supervision. Not recommended. Would not have been as bad if supervisor had been helpful or even given attention to therapists needs rather than paperwork. If you like working for a company that only cares about paperwork this is your kinda job.
Pros
Paid training
Cons
supervisors self involved

Working at Chrysalis you would always do more than your job title and or position. When your working with youths, you find that theres always more that can be done to helm them.

Love Chrysalis! <3
Outpatient Therapist (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLSeptember 29, 2017
Chrysalis is an amazing company... with an amazing management team and culture. But being a outpatient therapist is difficult.. from getting patients to commit to sessions and then coordinating everything. Paid for service... which makes making your bottom line sometimes difficult. But overall ... I love Chrysalis... and just wish compensation was better,

Great opportunities for growth!
Outpatient Therapist (Current Employee) –  Miami, FLSeptember 20, 2017
I enjoy working here. It is a challenge but definitely doable. The only challenge is the driving. It becomes a challenge trying to balance personal schedules with work life however all in all you get an abundance of learning opportunities here especially as a first time clinician.
Pros
Training, Great learning opportunities for green therapists
Cons
driving, balancing schedules, meeting weekly quotas

Bait and Switch Opportunity
Redirection Therapist (Former Employee) –  Ocala, FLAugust 23, 2017
When applying for this job it seem like a lifelong fullfilling career. The job is overwhelming and stressful. Do not seek this opportunity if you have a family because you will constantly be completing work and spending less time with your family. In order to make decent money you more than likely have to work at least 6-7 days a week. They tell you in the beginning you will collect mileage;however, if you do not travel certain amount of miles during the week you will not receive mileage for this job. The constant emails to DJJ is very unnecessary and the parents or juveniles are not made accountable for not completing their sessions during the week so it lower your chances of getting weekly bonuses.
Pros
Pto, benefits
Cons
No work/life balance, not paid for holidays if you do not see all of your clients within the 8 hours of that day, Protocol emails to DJJ is overwhelming, long hours and little pay

Redirection Therapist (Former Employee) –  Ft. Lauderdale, FLJuly 18, 2017
Nice clients, and staff. The work environment was out in the field and paperwork at home which was convenience. The management was okay, although the job did not pay enough.
Pros
Work at home

Excellent Mission......Uncaring upper management
Case Manager (Former Employee) –  255 HomesteadJuly 16, 2017
Excellent staff that are very caring despite the lack of support from upper management. Most individuals are walking on egg shells. They say it is a 'culture'.......it is only when it suits them.
Pros
Clients and Case managers
Cons
Always walking on egg shells

Gulf too wide between management and direct services...
Residential Care & Case Manager (Current Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLJuly 13, 2017
Typical days are rigorous in schedule with staff, clients and paperwork with sufficient opportunity to also take a deep breath to relax. Relations with supervisor and co-workers are critical to success and seriously impact the working atmosphere for better or for worst.

Direct staff are dedicated and compliant in relation to clients, schedule, tasks etc., which must be strictly followed or won't last long in any position at the company. Few avenues available for resolution of staff/management issues.
Pros
Working with clients
Cons
Not much respect..can't be fooled into thinking you can question authority

Assistant Youth Counselor (Former Employee) –  City of Sunrise, FLJune 15, 2017
I would not recommend anyone to work for this company, due too their lack of effective managers. There is not room for advancement and everyone is for self.

Outpatient Lead Therapist (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLJune 7, 2017
Chrysalis advertises as a great place to work but eventually becomes cumbersome for clinicians to manage schedule and made ends meet with wear and tear on the vehicle.
Cons

Great monthly bonuses with the Redirection Program, Works similar to an independent contract therapist. Good leadership.Lots of email communication
Therapist (Current Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLJune 6, 2017
This is a good company to work for, the leadership is good, you the ability to create your own work schedule. There is plenty of training. The hardest part of the job is all of the driving (Community Based in home therapy). The Redirection Program comes with monthly bonuses that make it all worth while. The best part of the job is the flexibility and working independently. The caseload is manageable.
Pros
Monthly bonus, flexibility, independence
Cons
Unpaid training hours, excessive email communication

Shift Leader/ Education Liaison (Former Employee) –  Davie, FLJune 2, 2017
Working in residential is like being a full time baby sitter.
Some days are calm and some days will involve the police.
Company provides annual training in handling difficult situations.

Outpatient Therapist (Former Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLMay 29, 2017
Working with this company made me understand the difference in for profit companies and not-for-profit companies. This company was about money for the company. However, the one pro is that they offered fantastic trainings for the therapists.

Chrysalis Health was a pleasant company to work for. They try their best to help you achieve your personal goals, whether or not they include staying in the company. They had yoga on Thursdays to help you relax which helped you be more productive at work

Excellent business and ownership team. However very little room for attaining top level management positions. Not all rules are applied equitably. At times appears agenda driven.
