Everyone there seems ok, but the administrative staff appear friendly but the managing are not. They rather for profit and push you to do extra work.
Outpatient Therapist (Former Employee) –  FloridaJanuary 4, 2017
No friendly at all, more gear towards competition instead of helping the clients. The staff are pretentenders, not genuine. tHE MANAGING STAFF ARE ALL FRAUD, THEY ARE ARE NOT GENUINE.
Pros

staff need to be down to earth

Lots of unpaid work
Outpatient Therapist (Current Employee) –  Palm Beach County, FLSeptember 20, 2016
After working with this company for over a year, I can say that I do so much more work than what I get paid for. It's so many hours in the car (gas is not reimbursed) and completing unpaid paperwork requirements that are constantly changing.
Pros
Flexible schedule
Cons
Low pay, unpaid work, isolation

This company is the complete opposite of which is stated in the orientation given upon hire.
Experienced Residential Assistant Counselor (Former Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLMay 6, 2016
Stated in the Orientation was that there would be chances for advancement with them, but I soon realized after a year of working that advancements are only possible if you are and employee of the main office or therapist. For residential there is no growth option unless you have favor with someone in HR or just simply working at the main office. If you are an employee of this company and working in residential this is a dead end job.
Pros
Trainings, Holiday party, bonds formed with youths at the home
Cons
No overtime, Forced flexing of hours, no breaks, unplanned meeteings

Lots of work for not much money.
Assessor (Former Employee) –  FloridaNovember 17, 2015
This is the only place I ever worked that required me to get a physical exam at my own expense before being hired, and I've worked at a lot of different places. If a client doesn't show up you are expected to keep trying to meet with them, at your own expense. The timeframes to get your assessments done is unreasonable. Training was good, and my supervisor was very helpful and nice. When people figure out how much they end up making an hour, they leave. That's why they are constantly looking for new people.
Pros
Very good supervisor.
Cons
Not enough pay for the work, unreasonable expectations.

Office Manager/M (Current Employee) –  Lake Worth, FLOctober 20, 2015
Chrysalis has hired and still continue to hire a lot of therapist that are caring. With the caring attitude that the terapists have it means a lot to the clients.

The healthcare insurance is costly, but the people are nice.

Great company
Outpatient Therapist (Current Employee) –  Broward CountyOctober 12, 2015
I have worked here for 7 months now and supervisors are always there if you need them to offer support and guidance. Your schedule is flexible and what you make of it and requires you to be able to accommodate to some extent to your client's schedules too but there is a lot of freedom that comes with this kind of set up, you are basically your own boss and don't have to deal with office politics much. The pay is fair and they provide a lot of incentives as well as bonuses monthly, your salary can get raised yearly if you meet certain standards. If you have a complaint they listen and will try to make changes to the company based on your feedback. There is a lot of trainings so is great if you are starting out as a therapist, supervision for those working towards their licensure is free if you meet certain amount of hours monthly which I always do.
Pros
bonuses, flexible hours, freedom, you don't have to deal with office politics.
Cons
no paid vacation

Run
Undisclosed (Current Employee) –  BrowardSeptember 13, 2015
First and foremost this company is money hungry. The turnover rate is astounding! Procedures change at the drop of a hat. The biggest issue is upper management "cooperate". No one wants to take responsibility for any mistakes or step up to do any work. Upper management expects employees to do things that are outside of their job description. There is NO COMMUNICATION what's so ever. Upper management are all a joke including assessors and therapist. Staff is extremely overworked and paid very little. Also, the office environment can be catty. Others can be extremely rude for no reason and will talk about others just because. I wouldn't recommend working for this company as a long term thing. If you need to pay bills or just need a job until you find better, knock yourself out but don't let the high reviews from others fool you on here. By all means avoid this company if you can.

Pretty tough
Outpatient Therapist (Current Employee) –  Miami, FLJuly 15, 2015
A fee for service type employment, Chrysalis is a for profit company looking to expand their organization. As such, the profit margins will come at the expense of you, the worker. You will get paid for people you see, no more, no less. This also includes not getting paid for travel, extra paperwork, and any other necessary requirements in this type of field. It is very difficult work with little financial reward. There is a very high turnover rate in this company for field employees due to these problems.
