The most useful review selected by IndeedAt Churchill I feel like I am home. Time management is the biggest challenge. There are many facets of the job and it pulls you in different directions. Time blocking is essential. The culture at Churchill is better than any previous company where I have worked. The hardest part of the job is stress. The best part of the job is making people's dreams come true.

Lock Desk Specialist (Former Employee) - Brentwood, TN - July 19, 2023
Pretends to care about you as a worker that the company is “family” but only cares about leadership roles. Lays off countless hard working employees but keep the inefficient ones. If you speak of pay there’s retaliation

Pros Don't Outweigh the Cons
Corporate (Former Employee) - Nationwide - June 15, 2023
While they tout a message of "doing what's right for you" and "putting people over profits", they have laid off a huge amount of the company, including people who brought them business and some who have worked for them for almost a decade. There is no accountability for those in leadership positions and absolutely no diversity, equity, and inclusion policies put in place. If you don't fall in line with their culture and belief system, there's a target on your back from the start. When there are layoffs it's immediately followed by the COO telling the company how great they're doing. If you aren't a top producing loan officer, you won't be cared for or respected. Think Good Ole Boys Club, which isn't surprising when they're affiliated with Dave Ramsey. The pros? There are some really amazing people who work there who, unfortunately, drank the koolaid.

Great Mortgage Retail Lender!
Home Loan Specialist (Former Employee) - San Dimas, CA - May 22, 2023
Churchill mortgage is a great place to work for those looking for a team environment to grow their book of business. Across the board Churchill Mortgage offers great tools, resources and coaching to all of their licensed loan originators. The company as a whole has a great culture. Ever corporate staff member, branch manager, loan officer, processed, support staff, etc. is always friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Great Culture but slightly misleading advertisement
Loan officer (Current Employee) - Brentwood, TN - March 23, 2023
One of the best company cultures. Great co-workers and amazing management except when you get to the top. COO is teaching you how to sell customers higher interest rates and not to broker out loans. The company slogan is “doing what is right for you.” If that was truly the case then during this market we would learn how to hold on to loyal employees instead of cutting everyone’s hours and layoffs. And during these challenging times we would figure out how to broker loans if we need to save money ultimately for the client. Instead our COO was trying to sell us on charging our borrowers higher rates and fees, because some how “that is what is right for the customer?” Now besides that, honestly one of the best companies I have ever worked for. Truly great people. And maybe I wouldn’t have even noticed about how the company is noticeably higher cost for our families that we serve if it wasn’t for this challenging market right now.

Don’t drink the Kool Aid!
Loan Officer (Current Employee) - Dallas, TX - February 11, 2023
It’s an employee owned company that’s first response to market changes was to fire long term employees, hire more corporate employees and cut sale’s staff commission. Good products but horrible pricing and low compensation. You will always be a point hire in rate than almost every other lender.

Great Opportunity
Home Loan Specialist (Former Employee) - Brentwood, TN - January 28, 2023
Had a great opportunity to leave my well established career in automotive for mortgage. I felt the team supported, encouraged, mentored, and overwhelming supported their peers. Couldn’t have worked in a better environment.
Pros
Team, team, team
Cons
Income fluctuation due to market conditions.

Inclusive culture dedicated towards growth
Home Loan Assistant (Former Employee) - Remote - May 23, 2022
Fast paced, technical environment. Having experience in the mortgage industry is key here. Churchill cares for it's employees as much as clients, as you need both for success.

Lots of interaction w/ teammates & management. Stability is currently not there. No consistency between loan work & loan officers.
Loan Processor (Former Employee) - Cincinnati, OH/Oregon - May 4, 2022
Health insurance with churchill is horribly expensive. Different divisions are ran differently which can be a good thing or bad thing. Vacation maxes out at three weeks. Division I was in does not do pay raises.
Pros
Team atmosphere.
Cons
Healthcare, consistency, too many hands in one pot making things harder on a processor. No pay raises

The Processors Are Superior
Senior Loan Processor (Former Employee) - Remote - April 5, 2022
The Team of Processors are really exceptional and I was lucky enough to work with Loan Officers that actually deeply cared about their borrowers above their commission. The Team I worked with there are rare and exceptional in every way. That being said I was in mid management and usually you have a direct line to upper leadership... here that isn't the case. Executive Management is uncommunicative and secretive and in some cases out right lies to everyone. A clear mission everyone can get behind is not provided. They got rid of the 2 best managers they had (Ops Manager and Processing Manager) because they both pushed back. Both left the company because they couldn't live the lie any more.
Pros
Daily in the trenches TCs, LOs, Sales Manager, Processors are really wonderful
Cons
Executive Management, People over Profit is a just a tag line to Executive Management, The Christian rhetoric is just that rhetoric

Great culture. Great leadership. Always seeking to do the right thing.
Home Loan Specialist (Former Employee) - Michigan - December 6, 2021
I really enjoyed my time at Churchill. I only left as sales was not a great fit for me long term. I appreciated that the company works according to its core values and is always looking to grow and improve and provide the most value it can to its employees and customers.
Pros
Flexible schedule, great environment
Cons
Expensive health care costs

Great place to work as long as you are with Churchill not infosys
(Remote) Senior Loan Processor (Former Employee) - Brentwood, TN - November 10, 2021
I enjoyed working here. It was the first mortgage job that I’ve ever worked that did not stress me out. I highly suggest staying on the Churchill side rather than moving over to Infosys once you are on. Infosys has cheaper health insurance but ZERO job security within the company. I was randomly laid off for no reason given about 9 months after some of us converted to Infosys. When laid off I was offered a job with Infosys that paid about 1/3 the amount I was making at Churchill. Again….. CHURCHILL is a great company but DO NOT let them push you over to Infosys once you get on.
Pros
Gifts, great bonuses, great leadership
Cons
The project with Infosys and moving employees over. A HUGE NO GO.

Overall Churchill is a good company
Doc Drawer/Loan Funder-Remotely (Former Employee) - Brentwood, TN - May 26, 2021
The only problem that I had is that when we had any IT problems- or issues(we worked remote) and my computer was down, It was difficult to get any help, because they out-sourced to a company called Infosys and it was virtually impossible to a hold of anyone. Also the training aspect of a new position, was kind of being thrown into and being irreverent and not conclusive to the position.
Pros
great benefits
Cons
No help on the training or IT side
