I really think you should visit your facilities & get to know the staff, not the management, the staff that’s interacting with the patients. Ask them how they are doing, ask what they like about the job, what they like about the facility, what can they do to make the facility better? What would floor staff like to see change? Are there problems with any of the management team? Etc. when employees feel involved, they are more likely to stay loyal to that company. How about getting direct deposit, I mean this is 2019 afterall. How about looking at patients acuity instead of just numbers when deciding on staffing. There is so much that this corporation has going for it if they’d just utilize it. You have some buildings with a lot of longevity with staff but that doesn’t always mean a good thing. Sometimes those that’s worked at a place for 10+ years feel entitled especially management at times. Maybe when you ask floor staff questions, you’d get some great answers. Come for a week to each facility and see how our days are, we can give you so many ideas.

Answered

Because they are not the ones forced to deal with the patients and families. They are always behind closed doors and do not care about staff or residents. They face no consequences for poorly managed buidlings.

Answered

Being short staffed all the time. The pay is less than most facilities
