Good company
Teller (Former Employee) –  Menomonie, WIJuly 30, 2018
Good group to work with. Days were normal with drive-thru opening first and then the lobby. Not a high stress and pushy sales environment, which I enjoyed.

Teller (Former Employee) –  Caldwell, TXMarch 28, 2018
This bank is one of the easiest employer that I have worked for. This bank is great for showing new employees who do not have any banking experience. Bank is known for helping the local community and also for there old school banking. No weekends are worked and the rotation in schedule was ok. Technology was not up to date and the online banking was always going down. A lot of customer service maintenance in resetting passwords, raising limits on debit cards and change of address. You do have those Debbie downers who will not lift a finger to move up in the company but will open there mouth the moment they see someone new moving up.
Pros
Free lunch and no weekends worked.
Cons
Co-workers that are not team players

Great training in the teller position. Friendly and helpful coworkers. Small town bank with many repeat customers to help build community relationships. A few opportunities for advancement if desired.

Teller (Former Employee) –  Woodville, TXFebruary 26, 2018
Need to know people higher up to get anywhere. If you want to get anywhere with this company, you need to know somebody and be in good with the higher ups. Not much room for advancement based on job performance.

Bank Teller (Current Employee) –  New Castle, INFebruary 15, 2018
Decent pay, they will invest in you as long as you show you're good for it. Amazing people to work with, a good job to go further in the banking field and training is very well.
They are also very giving and usually the managers are understanding and try to work with you.
Pros
Good people, not too difficult of a job, benefits
Cons
They will switch you around and can be strict

Teller (Current Employee) –  Points, WVFebruary 13, 2018
on a typical day we process deposits, withdrawal, loan payments, deal with lots of cash for businesses, and balance the vault. The hardest part of the job would be trying to get customers to understand there's certain things we have to get approval on before we can assist them any further and still trying to keep them happy. the most enjoyable part would be is it's like a small working family

Teller, and Bookkeeping Department (Former Employee) –  Van Buren, ARJanuary 18, 2018
Some management at Citizens Bank were very professional and fair, others took very little interest in their employees and had the just do as I said good boy mentality. They at times over worked some employees while giving others very little responsibilities.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Milford, ILOctober 20, 2017
The bank is old and looks like it is still stuck in the 1960's, the employees act like you're pulling teeth when you act for help with your account or any other financial problem. There are fees for everything there also!

Stressful, poor leadership, unprofessional environment
Operations (Former Employee) –  Newberry, FLOctober 17, 2017
Decent pay, but very poor leadership by management, as well as poor communication. Overall, it is a very unprofessional environment, and morale is very low. The company went through 3 CEO changes in less than 9 months in 2016. There is constant turmoil between coworkers and staff with unqualified supervisors. Overall, a very stressful & disorganized environment. Layoffs have been abundant as the company moves to outsourcing and minimizing operating costs.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Poor leadership, stressful, unprofessional environment

Small slowed paced environment. No career advancement
Loan Administrator (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXSeptember 26, 2017
Was great change of pace from a big bank environment, however, quickly learned there was no room for advancement. VP of lending ran over everyone. Condescending attitude to people working below him and always backstabbing people who made mistakes. Bank was way behind in technology. Tried to get loan files in PDF's but was told it would take too long and too much money to do. A/C and Heater broke down a lot so work environment either too hot or too cold. Would not spend money to fix this issue.
Customers were nice and down too earth.. Workload was slow-paced and not very challenging.
Pros
small bank, slow-paced, nice customers
Cons
Way behind in computer technology. files not in PDFS but in file cabinets. no room to advance
