Worked as an Equipment Operator in the Parks Dept for over 20 years.

Smart Marketing - Call Center Manager (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CAMay 28, 2018
Smart Marketing is, without a doubt, hands down, bar none, the best place I have ever worked. 17 years on board and I didn't see this coming. Would have hoped for a longer notice, you guys were very generous.
Pros
4 Monthly Company sponsored events. Bring your child and dog to work days
Cons
So much overtime, that it could create an unhealthy work, life balance.

Not alot of jobs once you leave the strip
Reno Prep Head Coach (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas Mendenhall Gym (UNLV)May 13, 2018
Las Vegas is a great place to visit but if you are talking about making Las Vegas your home you should think twice. Yes the strip is very glamorous but once you leave the strip little money has been invested into the surrounding neighborhoods! very ugly!!
Pros
The Strip is the highlight
Cons
The Strip is the only exciting part in Vegas it gets bored real quick

Table Games Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVApril 7, 2018
You can't guess from the summary?

The reality is that you, the corporate culture and general population, clearly do not care about what it takes to be an employee - any employee. Particularly in the gaming industry.

Promotions Specialist (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVMarch 22, 2018
The Las Vegas 51's is honestly a very fun place to work and I would highly consider trying it out. You get paid to watch a baseball game. You really only do work for about 3-4 hours then you just watch the game!
Pros
Paid to watch baseball
Cons
Pay is not that good.

EVS Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVMarch 4, 2018
Summerlin Hospital has great benefits and great pay. I enjoyed working there until they hired a new Facilities Director. Then the economy continued to decline there and the hospital started to look for ways to reduce its expenses. They let many employees go and they started to look into contracting out many of their services.
Pros
Excellent benefits and great pay

Hostess (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVFebruary 18, 2018
A typical day working as a hostess at Rhumbar included the following, dusting and sweeping the outdoor patio. Always maintaining quality atmosphere by making sure tables are clean and have both hookah and drink menus. The line into the establishment should never be more then two customers down and I.Ds must be checked thoroughly for any discrepancy's. The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to have to opportunity to meet people from all over the world and gain relationships with your customers making them life long patrons.!
Pros
exciteing work scene, free drinks, free hotel rooms
Cons
long hours, no breaks or lunch

City Administrative Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVJanuary 31, 2018
As the Receptionist, I was the first line of contact with the City. The public can sometimes be very, very mean. I have been cursed out, called racial names BUT, the public can also be very, very loving as I have also been called an angel and life saver!!!
Pros
Dealing with loving, kind people
Cons
Dealing with mean, nasty people
