911 Emergency Dispatcher in Little Rock, AR

Overworked , underpaid, and often times required to work overtime unscheduled. Co workers and managers are very catty. Work is fulfilling because you’re helping the citizens but company culture is terrible.

Well rounded place to work that takes pride in being family driven and detailed oriented. Great leadership even with higher ups. Great work life home balance for sure. Great benefits
Freedom of Information Act Coordinator in Little Rock, AR

As the only man (and smoker) in the HR department, I was not made to feel welcome by my supervision. My supervisor did not like men due to a recent divorce, and had no problem telling me. "Leadership" is a dirty word there, but "micro-management" might as well be etched on every wall. Nothing happens that does not get double- and triple-checked, edited, passed around for input, then finally produced two weeks after deadline. All after being completed with three days to spare. The hardest part of the day was going to work, and the best part was after I got home. The only real positives are the compensation and benefits package, if you can stay long enough to be eligible.

Horrible place to work. Extreme cronyism and racism exist here. You move up through brown nosing and other horrible ways. Credentials are only used to hold qualified people back and advance those that are not really qualified. These Departments are the worst. - Police, Public Works, Finance, City Manager and Human Resources.

even with few resources. They had to shorten hours and lay ppl off, including me, but they were very empathetic about it. I wish they gave a little more support to the lifeguards, and empower them to throw ppl out of the pool area when needed
