Really teaches you about filing and coding and teaches you about technology and how it operates and they taught me how all the departments like the ppl work with kids and the food departments of the state job .
Great job to attend especially for retirement. They have all the benefits you need including beneficiaries. The employers was great and the employees were very kind. Recommend anyone to retire from The City of Little Rock.
City of Little Rock Summer Intern (Former Employee) - Little Rock, AR - August 20, 2019
My City job this past Summer was overall a great job. The people I worked with were very easy to work with and I enjoyed them a lot. Working with kids was never in my future, but working at my summer job made it easy for me to like it.
The job itself and the surrounding variables can make it a very easy job or a very difficult job all up to how you take it on. If you're very hands on and life outside work along with compensations then here you are.
I loved conversating with people in the neighborhood. Management sometimes was not good. Too political and too much double standards. Some officers not wanting to work with others for various reasons. Racial tension was a big problem that was never solved or seriously addressed. I loved helping people and assisting them with their problems. Hardest part of the job was dealing with the politics.
there are a lot of good people you get to meet. Lot of good officers too
Might not get off on time when you have something scheduled with family.
A typical day at work is preparing fields and picking up trash.
I learned a lot about maintence.
Management is wonderful.
The environment is great.
There really is no hard part about this job.
The most enjoyable part about this job is you make new friends.
While going to school and working the city makes that easy. Working for the city is one of the most laid back place to work. I have worked for the city the last 4 years and I love it, although it is only a summer job, it helps build money up.
