The atmosphere in dispatch was literally night and day there. Depending what shift you were trained on would determine whether you were set up for success or failure. The day shift people were typically more uptight, critical and sometimes divisive, but the night shift people were the opposite. They were laid back, very helpful and very encouraging. There a lot of good dispatchers there who care deeply about their job and it was amazing to watch them at work. But they need to re-assess their training, especially that of the training coordinator. I would have loved to been able to have stayed there, but would have chosen to work on the night shift because of the people.

Shifts are 4 10-hour shifts starting at all times and days, with much opportunity for overtime once you pass call taking training.
