Aviation Electrician 2nd Class Petty Officer in Navy, VA
on February 6, 2015
Good on the job training
Throughout my time in Virginia Beach, VA working for the Navy, I was able to learn a variety of skills that have help me improve my life. Working long days and hours, gave me plenty of time to know my craft and be able to pass on that to others. Having a great support team, in my management, helped me improve my personal and work experience. I enjoyed being challenged and being able to step up with the knowledge that was given to achieve hard task and fix all problems in front of me.

The workload can feel overbearing at times, however the people I work with make it worthwhile. The pay is competitive but limited trainings are provided. Great job security!
Undisclosed in Virginia Beach, VA
on April 29, 2021
Overall, the City of VAB is a good company to work for, however, it requires improvements in the senior management; politics can get in the way to improve processes.
Support in Virginia Beach, VA
on February 23, 2021
Leadership enjoys their office and barking orders and the staff are expected to obey. hr is useless. Overworked and treated terribly. Awful response to pandemic
Eligibility Worker in Virginia Beach
on February 10, 2021
Teleworking is an option and it has been very useful during the pandemic. I can be at home while my kid does virtual school. Supportive supervisor. Hard to connect with teammates since teleworking.
