Limited time for productive work
Manager (Current Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAJune 24, 2018
Limited time for productive work given current state of constant change that increases interruptions and required meetings. The company may have a promising future given some of the very intelligent executives, but currently a difficult working environment.

Solutions Consultant (Current Employee) –  RemoteJune 23, 2018
Entry level job without room to advance, hence, this position is a revolving door and people don't stay long in this position. Due to business reoganization, position is likely to be cut soon.

Technical Support Representative (Current Employee) –  San Francisco, CAApril 27, 2018
Clarivate is a new company created from the IP and Science division of Thomson Reuters. They've decided to outsource Customer Service teams to India (to save money). Rumor has it this is because they plan to sell within a few years time.
Pros
Nice people
Cons
Lay offs.

Horrible work environment
N/A (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAFebruary 23, 2018
Upper management is very arrogant, they do not listen to your needs, they are not supportive & will throw you under the bus with no hesitation. You have to buy your own office supplies as they do not really provide much of anything besides a laptop and good luck getting reimbursed for any supplies you buy in order to do your job! There isn’t any work/life balance as they expect you to be available 24/7/365, they will call your personal cellphone during your time off and/or weekends. They provide poor training but expect you to do a perfect job with no errors. The environment is simply toxic!

Depends on your position
Analyst (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAJanuary 9, 2018
Clarivate is a global company with various different business units. Some may offer a pleasant work experience and a good career path. However, in the CompuMark unit, which deals primarily in trademarks, this is most certainly not the case, especially in analyst positions. The culture in operations at the Boston CompuMark office is driven solely by fear and intimidation. Even if you are exceeding expectations in your role, you are still supposed to feel like you're lucky you haven't been fired. Analysts receive zero respect from management and have no prospects for career growth or advancement. The management team consists of local talent (or lack thereof) that doesn't know how to engage employees, and thus tries to make them all feel like they are lucky to be there. Good analysts leave and bad analysts are fired, making for a high turnover rate. The good analysts that manage to leave are lucky, as the work itself is hardly applicable to any other jobs outside of the company.

Workdays vary depending on the amount of trademark clearance searches ordered by clients. Overtime is usually available, and is advisable to work, since pay is relatively low and the extra hours are needed for the work to get done. Working in the trademark clearance process, the work is very deadline-driven and every day is crunch time.

Clarivate itself may well be a decent company to work for in other divisions, but analyst positions at CompuMark cannot come as recommended, due to culture problems and lack of opportunity for advancement. If you are considering joining Clarivate, avoid trademark analyst

Would be better if they worked as a team. Don't know of anyone who loves working there. There isn't anyone you can rely on or go to for help. It's very cut throat.

Brand Analyst (Former Employee) –  Boise, IDNovember 19, 2017
MarkMonitor was a great place to work at, but things started to change after it was purschased by Clarivate. More people from outside Boise were brought in, and slowly the local culture is being lost.
Their benefits are really good, but what they pay you is well bellow national average.

Good management
Cons
Low salary

Strategic Accounts Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 5, 2017
I worked at Clarivate Analytics full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
Decent commission pay for sales reps hitting 150%+ of target. 401(k) and other benefits are pretty decent, except Employee Stock Purchase Plan under Thomson Reuters was cut in June.

Although the products are rapidly slipping backwards compared to competitors, they're still generally close …

Cons
Products are quickly becoming severely out of date and Product Leaders are leaving the company and not being replaced
Competitors are catching up and customers are taking notice
Clarivate Analytics is a lousy name/brand that customer are not responding to Clarivate continues to market itself as "Thomson Reuters lite" in both marketing efforts and recruitment efforts yet no one is buying it

Low base salary …

Advice to Management
Please start listening to your employees. People talk, people are unhappy and it comes down to three main reasons: pay is lower, workplace environment (management) is falling apart, and the products are out of date (and everything that supports the products: branding, marketing, sales pitch, etc. is out of date as well).
Massively invest in the products and the team. Immediately hire new product managers and senior content people to infuse the products with high quality ideas. SPEND SPEND SPEND on the products to give them a major facelift. Lastly, spend on your employees or they'll keep leaving in droves.

A Company in Transition
Marketing Analyst (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PASeptember 22, 2017
My workday was full of projects and task especially due to the company becoming a stand alone from Thomson Reuters. I learned various aspects of marketing from the analytics, events, sales, and social media engagement. My direct management team was very engaging but not to the point of micro-managing. The culture is influx with so many people migrating in and out especially high level management. The hardest part of the job was seeing much of the management and consulters not on the same page but this did not affect me directly. The most enjoyable part was the team and learning their customer relation tactics and methods of processing so much information into revenue.
Pros
Mobility of approaching projects.
Cons
Company in transition.
