Account Executive (Former Employee) – Boise, ID – April 14, 2018
Web-based investment accounting and reporting software for institutional investors. Bought by growth equity firm 2 years ago and has rapidly been changing since then. The next 2 years will be interesting as they try to scale their model.
CORPORATE TREASURY SENIOR ANALYST (Current Employee) – Boise, ID – February 15, 2018
Clearwater will challenge you to learn and grow very quickly. Once people realize they can make more with the skills elsewhere though they leave. Work/Life balance is not great for the Client Service Department despite what recruiters say.
Senior Data Analyst (Current Employee) – Boise, ID – November 11, 2017
Developers are treated fantastically, and they are managed very effectively. As a developer, this company couldn't have been better. For Data or Client Services, the work environment is very poor. They expect long hours, short leashes, self-training, and little advancement opportunity. If you're a developer, go for it. If you're a finance type: stay away.
Fun environment, some issues with management and compensation
Quality Assurance Analyst (Current Employee) – Boise, ID – September 14, 2017
Due to the flat nature of the company there isn't a whole lot of room for advancement, and management can sometimes get a little drama-like.
Overall a great work environment. Nerf guns are common and baked goods are frequent. I can honestly say that I'm friends with most of the people I work with here. I just wish the compensation was higher.
Good opportunity, but work culture is somewhat difficult
Account Manager (Former Employee) – Boise, ID – July 17, 2017
Clearwater Analytics offers the chance to work with some of the top companies in the world in a fast-paced work environment. Expectations are high and the majority of employees are extremely capable, hard-working, and intelligent.
The difficult thing about the company is its culture. Employee appreciation is low on the priority list for the firm, meaning a lot of really good people burn out or are recruited away from the company.
Software Development Engineer (Current Employee) – Boise, ID – January 9, 2017
Clearwater can't seem to decide if it wants a corporate atmosphere, or a fun startup atmosphere. If you take a tour, you will see people with board games and nerf guns at their desks, but if you work there you will find that most teams don't tolerate any frivolity. Moreover, Clearwater will expand the scope of your job, asking more from you, but then not match that with a respectable raise.
Business Development/Client Services (Former Employee) – Boise, ID – January 2, 2016
This is a very niche company in an exclusive market and is on the cutting edge of technology production. There are a lot of brilliant people in the ranks and growth. However the small company mentality is rampant throughout and is not keeping abreast of the actual growth being experienced. Also, an extremely young and inexperienced staff throughout most of the company affects planning.
Excellent place to start you career with minimal advancement opportunites
Reconciliation Analyst (Former Employee) – Boise, ID – August 19, 2015
Clearwater Analytics is a software company that specialized in the reconciliation of corporations investment accounts with the bank. Most positions require extensive problem solving skills and are very time sensitive.
The corporate structure is VERY flat. There will probably only be 2 levels between you and the CEO. This is nice because you don't have to many hands trying to micromanage you, but when it comes to advancement you will not have many places to go either.
