Great workplace

I was a CNA for this company for just over a year and loved it. The environment is great and the staff really makes the hospital feel like a family. The nursing staff is all loving and kind and will take you under there wing. I have never worked for a facility that the majority of staff was kind and happy to be at work except for this one. If i didnt move so far out i probably wouldve continued my nursing career at this facility. The census ratios are phenominal and you have time to provide the best patient care and it truly makes all the difference. I highly recommend working here.

Dietary is excellent

Some of my coworkers were team players. Most were not. Did not make you feel included. Criticized frequently. No recognition for above average care and getting along well with others.

Love the work I do, my department and manager.

I enjoy the work I do and love the team I am a part of. Great close drive to and from home. Improvements being made all the time. Employee engagement and motivation efforts are strong.

Poor management

Have managers over departments with no knowledge or credentials to be telling the department what is right and wrong. Have DON that has been their for years and is a do nothing person. Have lost surgery and geriatric psychology. Get rid of any one who follow policy and procedures and is not part of the fraternity.

small critical access 14 bed hospital

small hospital environment, a lot of politics in the nursing department. decent compensation and shift differential on weekends only. no room for advancement within the organization, it is more of a family affair. appeared to have trouble keeping staffed consistently.
