Worked for this company when it started in 2014 it official was the best in the beginning then everyone got laid off out of nowhere and everything completely changed.Favoritism between coworkers people who worked for the longest have been stuck in the same place. Company does not care about their workers only medicaid scores.

Cons
lots of favoritism within the company, can work there for years and not grow, you can get laid off out of where

Rewarding work, but culture was sub-par
Director of Clinical Operations (Former Employee) –  Jersey City, NJJune 6, 2018
Rewarding work, but culture was sub-par. Learned a lot about the startup life and the fast pace. Great model of doing pilots and iterating on the pilots each week.

UM/Appeals Case Manager (Current Employee) –  Jersey City, NJMay 16, 2018
It is a good place to work. I worked remotely. The salary and benefits are good. However, have not received a raise after 1 1/2 yrs. Neither had any of my colleagues that worked there for several years. Frequent changes, which can be challenging. However, I was told this during the interview process. Overall it is a good place to work, and the office atmosphere is welcoming.
Pros
great equipment, support and great benefits
Cons
no raises, lots of changes

Clover is really about the people
Code2040 Summer Fellow / Engineering Intern (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CAMay 12, 2018
Clover puts great emphasis on humility, hunger to be better, and a desire to help those around you. It begins in the office and extends to their member base. It is an extremely open and collaborative work environment where transparency is held to a high esteem.

You are absolutely disposable.
Member Experience Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Jersey City, NJMay 2, 2018
Great, knowledgable coworkers who also want you to succeed. Until you and the rest of them are all gone. The Jersey City office has a captivating view, and some if the perks you receive i.e. the occassional lunch and free snacks throughout the day should not distract you from the fact that it is only temporary, and i don't mean just the contract employees. Good luck.

Delightful yet two-faced
customer service (Current Employee) –  San Antonio, TXApril 27, 2018
Working here was pretty cool as the member services agent we were helping members call in to either find a provider, inquire about a billing situation or even some other obscure things. It was pretty easy going and laid back for the most part, the biggest thing is to monitor the after call work and make sure that follow ups are completed on a timely manner

Awful Company Culture
IT Support (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CAApril 11, 2018
Apply elsewhere. Management isn't transparent with anything. Also likes to hire people with a high salary, use them for their technical expertise and then lay them off when their job is basically finished. Really terrible culture company which is high stress for no real reason. It seems like a great company with all the benefits and perks of a tech company, but reality couldn't be farther from the truth!
Pros
Free Lunches
Cons
Bad management and culture.

Startup with a lot of potential
Operations Specialist (Current Employee) –  San Francisco, CAMarch 9, 2018
Clover Health is a startup insurance company with a lot of potentials to be something great if the right people were managing its growth. There are many great employees that work at Clover Health but not many have experience in the healthcare industry. I would say that the company is currently all over the place with their decisions which feels like nobody really knows what they are doing. As a current employee, this scares me because it makes me feel like the company will not grow. or will have no room for growth since we are not seeing any progress.
Pros
free lunches
Cons
poor management

Beautiful office, lots of info to learn
Member Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Jersey City, NJAugust 9, 2017
The office was beautiful. They had a lot of perks with benefits. I was not comfortable since I had more customer service knowledge and not enough Medicare knowledge. The management screens all calls.
Pros
Free snacks, beautiful office
Cons
Short lunch time, constant screening, so much information to learn
