Safety Analyst (ES&H) in Albuquerque, NM
I was offered a role as a safety analyst. It seemed like a great opportunity-but it was not. This placement firm is extremely non-communicative. It is difficult to even reach anyone on the phone. However, the employees are nice and personable once you are able to speak to them.
True details of the position were not made known, and the ad I responded to did not reflect what the client was truly looking for at all. I responded to a safety analyst role with 5 years experience of general data analytics experience. It seemed reasonable. I was hired and paid as a mid level employee but was expected to perform at senior level (found out the day I was terminated). I was terminated for "lack of performance" on week number 5/6. On my last day it was implied I lack the skills to do the job. I left stable employment to be fired after a little more than a month. I was not given an opportunity to perform any real work, was not given any direction, and I received different pieces of information constantly.
It took 3 weeks to gain access to all the systems I needed, and then was fired 2 weeks after that. My experience represents a complete lack of communication between the client and Cloverleaf Solutions. This was not a matter of a "good fit vs. bad fit", this was a complete breakdown in expectations, communication and misunderstanding of data analytics and what is reasonable. Not only that, the ad I responded to did not represent what the client wanted or needed.
I was hired because I have data science experience. I was going to build models to more intelligently derive value from data. However, this particular client's manager was "not a data person", and the person I was hired to support kept using my time for personal use and therapy. It was admitted to my face, that I was a free therapist. When I tried to bring this up to management I was fired anyway.
Be very wary when accepting a role from this company. Be especially wary when you see any analytics roles being advertised. This was by far the worst experience of my professional career.
I was lied to from the beginning and I was naive because I was offered a seemingly great opportunity. This placement firm is extremely non-communicative and disorganized. It is difficult to even reach anyone on the phone.
When you are hired, know that it is only to make them money and they could care less about you. True details of the position were not made known, and the ad I responded to did not reflect what the client was truly looking for.
The expectations of the position were always unclear and by the time I did find out, I was terminated and they were far higher than what was ever expressed. Promises were made to upper management on my behalf that were unbeknownst to me. When I did not deliver on promises that no one told me about, I was immediately terminated after literally a handful of weeks.
I was treated with a lack of respect and discarded. Ultimately, the client wanted to save money and hire someone at entry level pay for senior level work and then magic was going to happen. I was kept in the dark during the entire process and expected to figure things out on my own. If I had known any of this I would not have accepted any role from Clover Leaf Solutions at any point in time. I do not recommend Clover Leaf Solutions for anyone that is looking for employment. You have been warned.
