Family run business that serves thousands of members. Fun and caring environment for the most part with a few hiccups here and there. The benefits are alright- good 401k match and free membership. Salaries are lower than one would expect.

Great workplace with awesome coworkers. Commission for personal trainers could be higher.

Awesome gym to work at with great benefits and coworkers. Great work/life balance with understanding managers. Commission for personal trainers are lower then other gyms and not a lot of CEU opportunities.

Dead end job.

A great facility to meet people and work out at. A horrible place to work for with no room for advancement or pay raises. They constantly change schedules and will overwork you to death. They claim they pay overtime, but they don't. Nor do they ever explain or give good reasons as to why when approached. Then they will try to make you work doubles after reducing your hours to make time up you lost. A big run around if there ever was one. But it's a GYM atmosphere and maybe you shouldn't expect much from that kind of retail like setting...

Small business, not open to changing with new demographic. Age out, need to make changes but refuse to and losing members to new updated gyms.

Needs work, the club needs to be updated. Need new fresh minds to re-vamp the company. Communication could use work, and the front line staff needs more guidance and more opportunity for advancement.


Free use of gym, good PTO.


Subpar benefits, stagnant work day.

Okay depending on your position. offers good flexibility and childcare though. could be more generous with wages and benefits. long hours when your department is understaffed.

Flexible Workplace

Club Fit allows employees to create their own schedules if they are part time and is very flexible. Compensation could be improved, as the area has a high cost of living.

Ok place to work. Trust no one.

Not much to say. Cool people work there. Owners are crazy and unappreciative of all that staff do. I don’t think they know everyone by name nor do I think they care too.

This job is extremely boring like its horrible how boring it is. you are underpaid, barely making minimum wage. the pool is disgusting. the only good thing is you get a free membership

Just ok to work here it comes with a gym membership so that is nice, however the pay for teachers is not as high as it could be

Managers Beware

Managers are hired to run their department as their own small business, compensation is a combination of salary and commission from sales. Most small business owners would be actively selling their product, but not at Club Fit. Before you can get to selling your department and programs, you must first complete the following: Staffing - Despite having a HR team each manager must, screen, interview, process, hire and train new staff Marketing - Despite having a marketing department each manager must submit marketing up 1 month in advance of a due date and is then responsible for proof reading marketing materials returned by the marketing department. At least 60% of projects are completed incorrectly Payroll - Despite having a payroll department every 2 weeks department managers spend at least 4 hours completing payroll for employees. Manager on duty - 1 Day per week managers are the 'Go To' for any problems, complaints, maintenance issues or medical emergencies in the building. You are advised not to conduct any department based work on your shift. These shifts can be as late as 11pm at night. . Accounting - You will be processing registrations, completing paperwork for refunds and reviewing monthly income, expense and statements. On an annual basis you will also create a department budget. Oh and you guessed it, there is an accounting department that doesn't do much to help this process either Community outreach - Enjoyable events, but primarily focused on selling membership, however, not everyone from membership attends, but department managers are expected -
