CMC Electric is a safe and fun, professional environment where there is never a shortage of opportunities to learn, think critically, and grow. Here, a caring attitude and proper work ethic are proven parts of what sets our results above the rest.

A Great Place to Work
Commercial Electrician (Former Employee) - Maryville, IL - December 14, 2022
CMC Electric is an amazing family oriented company that does a great deal of residential new construction, commercial, and light industrial. I am fortunate to have worked with CMC and would recommend anyone looking to work and succeed with the support of both owners. They value family and always understand and support their employees. 5/5
Pros
provided all company power tools, excellent professional coworkers and staff, overall a great place to work.
Cons
None that I can think of.

Employees are just a number, poor management, high turnover rate! No employee is valued
Call Center Manager (Former Employee) - Clayton, NC - February 24, 2022
High turnover rate due to poor management, you will not be valued even if you spend years working for them! You will have to do so much for little compensation! Everyone is disposable, that’s why they have so many negative reviews! Just trust in what you see from us past employees and don’t believe a word they tell you! Benefits are through marketplace! If you are looking for a “work family “ this ain’t the place! No work life balance, employees expected to work over night and weekends with no additional compensation!
Pros
The people you work with other than management, are like a second family. HR lady is very helpful and you can tell she truly cares!
Cons
Often there are no lunch breaks because of heavy work flow and short staffed, no one there to train you! Your just a number and not valued at all! Company culture is horrible!

Like working at the Mickey Mouse Club
Assistant Construction Administrator (Former Employee) - Clayton, NC - January 3, 2022
Administrative positions are grossly underpaid, the reason being that the employees are childish and unprofessional. If you want a certain level of emotional maturity from your employees you must be willing to pay for it. The position started out fine but it became quickly and glaringly obvious to me that I would never make the money that was deserved for the effort that was put forth and the skill level that I have.
Pros
Friendly coworkers.
Cons
Incessant Micromanaging.

No clue how to run a business
Employee (Current Employee) - Clayton, NC - May 26, 2021
There is absolutely no organization, most of the time the do not know what way is up or down. Benefits are a joke, they have no management. There is also no employee relations, you are own your own.
Pros
Pay is ok
Cons
No organization

Exciting place to work with tons of room for growth
Manager (Current Employee) - Clayton, NC - May 25, 2021
Owner is a respectful and energized boss. The work is always challenging but the money is amazing. Piece work for our employees actually gives them more earnings than base hourly rate. Great set up and good people to work for and with.

Poor work environment.
Manager (Former Employee) - Clayton, NC - March 11, 2021
The 2 different offices were constantly against each other. The owner was playboying around town while the company struggled. The crews were greatly underpaid or either conned into a piece work package. There were ZERO benefits. And the management was always blamed for the losses of the company that had poor work ethics before they were even hired. They couldn't pay their bills and were often out of basic materials like wire. Just a poor company to work for with very poor and uncaring leadership.

Very good place to work.
Electrical Apprentice (Former Employee) - Jonesboro, AR - April 29, 2020
This is a very good place to work. They work hard to make sure the customer is happy and gets quality work. The people here work very hard. They push you to learn, but don't expect any more than they should.

Cmc electric
Electrician (Former Employee) - Clayton nc - March 12, 2018
This company particularly did not seem to value their employees at all. The company is basically a machine to pay everyone as little as possible to keep them around and make as much profit for the ceo as can be made.
