Assistant Manager in Leesburg, VA
on February 9, 2021
I worked for Coach for about 2 1/2 years. I really loved my General Manager she was the up most fair and hard working manager I have ever worked for. I wish the company would go back to some of the original core values of their product as this company no longer explains to customers of the opportunity to fix or refurbish products. Also, from a selling point many people would like historical information on the company considering the amount of money some of the retail purses are priced at. This would the consumer gain the value and be proud to walk around with a designer item ! The sales staff I feel should be prompt more on selling skills . This was not my managers fault as the overall concern of the corporate was obviously the money the store was making. I feel top selling managers would feel more accomplished with their set goals knowing they offered a good experience on educating the consumer who then could go and tell a friend of what a great value of an item their fabulous purse is!

I enjoyed my time working at Coach. My manager is very supportive and encourage me to try new things and I learned up-selling and relation building skills from my manager. company offers great health care insurance even for part-time employees and if sales goal achieved as a team you'll get extra bonus.

The interview was based on my experience but my pay rate could have been better. I felt cheated that people who works less than me are getting paid more. Well nothing is fair so go figure I guess. I just hope they pay more because they don't allow people to work overtime or pass 40 hours if they are not in dire need of them.

I feel as though they do offer great hours, and accommodate all work schedules but some managers can be rude and it is as if they were handed their position due to their lack of professionalism.

The staff are generally younger and quite nice to work with. The management is not setting people up for success. No positive reinforcement and they say one thing to your face and talk behind your back, even about other managers. Not professional.

Very long. First interview with store manager, 2nd with asociate manager and final with DM off site. Coach is very selective. High expectations for image, communication skills and decorum.
