Awful upper management and does not value employees. People who work there are only a number and they only care about shifting blame from themselves. Employees beware! Used to be a good company but it is heading down hill fast.

I feel highly uncertain that anyone would be happy at Coastal. I looks to me from the majority of the employees reviews and their personal experience that you have to be considered a favorite and I found that to be true myself when I was present in their corporate office in Providence, RI. I had made some friends in the billing department and the IT department. Got invited to events outside of work. Sometimes I went, sometimes I did not. When I came to realize how or who rather some of these individuals really are; I cut them out of my life. I left this corrupt atmosphere and have no regrets. It was this best thing I could have done at the time. HR are the monsters behind the scenes. I am not giving them credit; I think they should be exposed! They talk about everyone behind their backs; not professional. I only know this from the 4 years I was in the building and the few good ones I was close with in billing. It is not a good place. One time the training manager told me specifically "don't trust the doctors"; he was serious. The corruption is on the hands of those on the board, HR and the high horse corporates. I would not go to them for healthcare or for a job! Some people may be happy there, they probably haven't been exposed to the horrible favoritism and backstabbing and outright immature behavior, and let's not forget the extracurricular amongst staff. Well now, then; and the scenes I had to deal with when trying to work while I was there. My goodness; some of us are here for work people. Glad I cut these people out from my life, I truly hope they know the pain they've caused me and many others literally cost people their jobs and what we thought were decent relationships. "What you allow to happen, will continue ". So I discontinued it from happening in my life. So disappointing and I will add one final thought the negative reviews I've read from current and previous employees are all true! The lab manager is fake. You think she pretty and nice initially. Nope! She is a witch. She can't give you directions with out insulting you and demeaning you making you feel like you're a looser. Well, she is the looser. I feel sad for those who are employed there, I wish they could get out and let the evils be by themselves they don't deserve the hard working employees. Let them do the actual work and relationship building let's see how they'll rank as "leaders in healthcare" then, I think they'd tank. I know people who work there and don't feel the same I know why, they don't know the corporate office and I hope for them it stays that way. They are better off in their offices away from that evil office. The only way I think Coastal will ever be a good place is if the demeaning insulting I'm bigger than you are high ups and the corrupt doctors AND HR are replaced in other words gut the corporate office please do the company a favor.

Coastal can not compete in the medical field. Eventually the intelligent providers and staff will leave, either on their own for better companies or they will clean house with no questions asked. I was a model employee and turned down 2 other opportunities for this job and what I saw from the companies own CEO was baffling. There are other companies that actually care about their staff, you know- training, motivating and developing. I would have to say in my many years of working in upper management that their future is bleak. The patients are loyal to their drs but even now, the request for records to transfer to other drs was concerning.

The future looks pretty uncertain for this company, it is becoming so money driven and corporate is a mess. They have stopped valuing employees especially 365 and East Providence/Providence locations. Will lay you off immediately without any notice. Management needs to turn itself around or they will no longer have any good employees.

Unfortunately the future is bleak. A company is only as strong as a the moral compass of the leaders. Sadly, there are some corrupt people calling the shots. What's ok for Corporate is not ok for the practices. Corporate leaders are elitests who don't make consistent and fair business decisions.

Upper management/corporate is the problem here. They hold the staff to higher performance values than they do themselves. Also, definitely do not bring your concerns to anyone at corporate, who is in a position to help-I have seen it result in bullying, among other poor outcomes. As one reviewer already said, the corporate culture is like high school.

I don't recommend working for Coastal. I just left there after being treated very unfairly; my best friend was fired from there a few years ago while ill. Your just a number here, believe me. I feel their future is bleak because of how they treat their employees.
