Each department has different needs. We are the only hospital in Schoharie County and we are committed to providing quality patient care. Some of our departments work around the clock, while others operate within traditional business hours. When we post open positions, the shift (days, hours, and status) is clearly defined so that candidates can select the position that is right for them. We have positive testimonials from current staff members that highlight our commitment to providing a healthy work/life balance (which, for some, means being able to work from home on occasion, flexible scheduling, or being able to be present at children's events).

Great question! The length of time to on-board someone varies. Our process is, once an offer is accepted, to begin the pre-employment process. This includes a background check, drug screen, and employment verification. When everything comes back successful, we schedule an appointment to be cleared by Occupational Health and to complete new-hire paperwork. At that time, we pick a start date. Because there are so many factors it's hard to give a specific answer to your question.

It was a 3 interview process. I received an offer letter 6 weeks from un-official date of hire. I had already given notice at my old job and the delay caused a lot of problems for me both ending my previous job and starting this new one.
